Thanks for posting these links; I was pleasantly surprised to see one of my posts about Earl referred to; I still think he was the best 9-ball player in history when he was in his prime......as Mike Sigel was quoted saying,
"he's the type of player that I could be leading 8-2 in a race to 9, and if he's breaking, I don't like my chances....."

thanks for the post, earl is my favorite player and it was quite a shock to see the list of wins! wow!

I was fortunate enough to be a regular at Highpocket's in Memphis when Louie was the house pro. He was sweating a match I was playing against another local player. After I had lost $200.00, he took me into the private parlor where he gave lessons. He began working with me and showing me all kinds of different shots. He truly was the greattest shot maker on earth! He told me he would have me drowing guys if I would listen and practice with him. I did for several months. Within a few months of intensive training with him I was seeing the hard work pay off. The same guy who beat me out of $200 came in one afternoon and I was chomping at the bit to get that money back plus all of his. Louie was sweating the action, and was loving what he was seeing. I was getting out from everywhere! When all was said said and done, I was $800 up! The guy quit and told me he could not beat me anymore. Louie looked at the guy and told him, "that's right you can't beat him anymore. Oh and one more thing, be sure and tell your frends to come and see us and bring the cash"! I owe so much to Louie for all he did for me. We became really close friends and I know in my heart he did not commit suicide. He was mortified of guns and wanted nothing to do with them. He was one of a kind and will be missed everyday by those who knew him and loved him. You could not know Louie and not love him....

thanks
