Pool Stroke Training Shot Clock

I have no idea if this product exists yet, but this is what I am looking for:

Some kind of shot clock for practicing. Like you see on TV tournaments. The timer going down and beeping to warn you.

The product would definitely not be quite the same, but the same idea. I have 2 different ideas for what I am looking for.

  1. It could be a small clock screen that is time programable, and every time you finish your shot you could just click a Bluetooth button from the wrist attachment.
  2. Or maybe it could just be a phone app that you use with your earbuds. Every time you finish your shot just double tap your ear bud.
  3. Or even a screen clock with a snooze button that resets it.
Does this product exist? I mean what are the pros practicing with to stay within time limits?

There is an app called Shot Clock, that does as you have described.

I have a dog that boops his nose into my leg when I'm down on a shot for not paying attention to him.
I think he has a brother.
Really puts the pressure on

An app that listens for "Start!" would be good. Alternatively, practice with a friend who runs a timer. My phone came with a simple clock/timer/alarm app that would work fine if you had a helper.

The DigiBall has a built in shot clock. The timer starts when the cue ball stops moving and resets when you make it move again. It has an app for mobile devices, Apple Watch and an HDMI capable TVs.

The DigiCue is another product with shot timer capability. You set one of 4 possible ranges and it will vibrate if you shoot faster (or slower) than the set shot timer threshold. This also has a dedicated app suite.

See www.digicue.net for more info.

I recently just added a shot clock feature to my "9 ball scorecard" app for android. App scores based on APA. Still in testing but planning on releasing that feature soon. It's very crude as it's set for each time a score is taken, the clock starts and beeps at 10 seconds as a warning, then beeps from 5-0. It resets when a score is added or player switches. On new racks the clock is idle until the first score is added for the player. This requires someone to actually be pressing the buttons on the phone which isn't ideal obviously.
