Pool Table buying Decisions on a budget

I am in the market for a new table. I came across a Company in TN called Kincaid Billiards. He has some Gold Crown V's which are not GC V's but are made the the same specs in the same factory where the actual GCV's are made. (According to the story).

My budget is 3500 for this table. So that blows out a new GCV or a Diamond. Has anyone heard of these? If you look at pictures and compare specs, they are almost identical. 1 inch slate. Artemis Rubber from US, not China.

Looking for some help as I want a good playing table within my budget. I am not a pro but I am a very good Amateur and play every day, so its important to be happy with Quality as well as budget. He is willing to hand deliver and install from TN to VT with no deposit or cash in hand until its fully setup and I am happy. Is it worth the roll of the dice?

With your budget I would look into a used Gold Crown or a Diamond. I picked up a used GC4 and with new rails and cloth including installation spend about 3200.It plays great.
 
Thanks.. I looked into a sort of local guy who had GCIII's and redone with new rubber and felt was around my budget. The part that shy'ed me away was that he could refinish all of the wood except the tops of the rails as it was formica. So Pool Hall abuse was something I would have to live with. the pictures didnt look that great.

I am keeping my options open and asking questions so I dont rush the decision. I have a few months before by construction in the room is done anyway.

You should contact Jay Spielberg, of A-1 Billiards. Jay is a top-notch table technician. I believe his business is located in New Hampshire. If he doesn't have anything in stock, I'm sure he'd be able to steer you in the right direction.

Jay is actually the guy I talked to about a GCIII. Not knocking Jay as he comes with some good feedback, it just seems that he doesn't have anything I am looking for right now.
 
$3500 for a new commercial table ?
Why not buy a re-worked used one ?
I wouldn't touch a fake GC from China for half that price.
 
With used Gold Crowns selling for under $1,000, the choice is pretty clear what to do.
 
I am central VT.. I am looking for a 9ft. I currently have an 8 foot table now.

Appreciate all the honest feedback. its the exact reason why I posted the topic.

That's a knockoff, don't buy unless you don't like your money!

Artemis cushions are made in Germany in which are NOT on that table, that table on eBay uses k66 cushions.... That's no GoldCrown even if you upgraded to Artemis they'd still be k66 cushions and not the k55 cushions that are on the brunswick GC.
The frame on the knockoff table is far from a brunswick frame and the rest of the table was horribly copied.
