get rid of the cat. problem solved.
She is one of four and my wife and children are very attached to all of them as am I. This one came to us as a tiny snow white kitten, lost in a large park on a rainy night. The security guard found her and handed her to my daughter, case closed.
She's been through a lot. Cats here tend to hang out on the rooftops. Typically, houses here share a common side wall or abut each other so cats can move about without leaving the rooftops. I found Blanco (she's white, get it?) limping one morning with a two inch infected gash on a front leg. Lots of razor wire on the rooftops and she had tangled with some. Three days at the vets got rid of the infection.
Another time my stepson came and got me, he was obviously shaken and took me to see Blanco who was cowering near his bed. On closer inspection, she had a three inch gash along one side of her abdomen and a couple inches of her liver was exposed. Razor wire again and off to the vet we went.
We are a family unit and, as I said, the issue was resolved with the addition of the Bissell cleaner. The cat stays. Simonis shipped to Costa Rica is just at double what you pay in the US but I would happily recover the table before I would re-home Banco. She's family.
