Pool Table in 35 Million Home in Carmel California

no hooks for the bridge or rack.

and buckets for the pockets. how are they ever going to improve.
I have an old 9 ft Brunswick Heritage. It came with pockets that were made to the standard BCA specs at that time. The corner pockets are 5 1/4 in with a 1 1/8 shelve. People come over and remark how easy the table is with the bucket pockets until they play on it. The balls will rattle across the pocket and pop out because of the lead in angle. Small pockets don’t make you better. Learning to control the cue ball, getting perfect position, and shooting straight will give improvement. Many of my practice sessions that I do don’t involve pocketing a ball. It is safeties, speed control, stroke improvement , hitting targets and etc.

If you think small pockets make you improve do as I do sometimes. I will place 2 golf tees about 3 inches apart in front of the pocket and try to make the ball between them. Too easy? Move the tees closer together.

very well said sir. and with bigger pockets and not being a pro you learn to use the pockets for position. pool isnt all nine ball.

sure the top pros need tight pockets as they run out every open rack. but most all players need realistic pockets and shelf so they can play all the aspects of the game.

It’s a pool table that will serve its purpose of casual players having a good time. Not sure why this gets so much negativity from folks who complain that pool isn’t more popular. At least it’s not a foosball or ping pong table.
