Pool table paper?

Does anyone make or sell a pad of paper with empty pool tables on each page?

You know how you are trying to tell a friend about a shot or a run-out and grab the closest rectangular shaped object as a pretend pool table so you can describe the situation? I do it all the time. I'll grab the nearest napkin, paper, matchbook, etc to describe something.

Wouldn't it be nice if someone created a pad of paper with pool tables on them that you could write on just for this very reason? Something small enough that you could keep in the pocket of your pool case?

Tell me I'm not the only one that is interested in something like this? Does this object already exist? If so, where I can buy some?

Thanks in advance,

Shayla

Sounds like an good idea. Why not run with it? Check with Kinkos or somebody on the costs of printing it up and check with places like Muellers to see if they'd be interested.

Passes the "why didn't I think of that test"

Brilliant!
If it doesn't exist, these are pretty easily obtained - I mean ANY printer could make these for you, and you could buy a bunch at low unit costs, send them to your friends, or trade them for time with your pool hall, or mail complementary ones to AZ people who quickly realized the merit of your idea :D

A friend of mine here in SoCal has them for his league teams. He uses them to show shots and help them understand angles easier. They are
to scale and actually have fainted gridlines on them from diamond to diamond.
He had them made but I am not sure where. I dont think it would be too hard to find someone to scale them for you if you got the exact measurements.

Perhaps someone on here could do it for you. Then all you would need to
do is find a way to print them.

I will see my friend at the end of the week and will ask for a copy if you would like. He is out of town right now.

Pool Table PDF File

Mr. Jewitt has a pdf drawing of a pool table at this site: http://www.sfbilliards.com/misc.htm.

It is link number 5. I use a copier to shrink it since I don't know Adobe that well and I only have the reader version.
There was a notebook available a few years ago called "Jot-A-Shot". It was a small bound book for you to sketch shots that you wanted to refer to later.

Yes, when I ran the regional tour here, I had a box printed up. They were called "Show me that shot" and they were small enough to put in your small pocket of your cue case. Nikki Benish scribbled some profanities in mine when she lost and was showing me the shots..lol. I will look to see if I can find any more of them. A friend in Denver printed them up for me. They had the gridlines in them.

The Wei table

is to scale, and it has an option to put grid lines on it. Just go to its
website, put the grid lines on it, copy it to Paint, Word, or other software
and print it off. Take it to Ginko's or a copier place, and have them make
pads of it for you. Hint: would make a great promotional item for AZB with
AZB's new logo (I liked Donovan's 2nd submittal) and name on the pad too.

how big do you want the table diagrams to be? more than one on a page? I made this sort of thing in a few different sizes for charting some shots that I may have missed during league or tournament play or diagraming kick or multi rail stuff.

I like the name - cute!
How small are you talking about? I think the smaller the better. Does your friend have their own business? I'm interested if you find any - I'd pay you to ship me one so I can get some kind of idea.
Thanks!

I was thinking of something small enough that I could keep in the pocket of my pool case. Something along the lines of like 3"x5" or something like that. Of course, something more rectangular-ish.

Yes, they were one to a page, that you could tear off, about 3x5. They had a cueball where you could draw the english, top, draw, etc. I will look. We gave them out to all our players as door prizes, along with 8ball antenna balls.

I am supposed to call back at 6 to track down the printer.

Well, I called my girlfriend but they broke up and he sold his printing business anyway. There is a good chance I have some in my garage. I have not decorated our new pool room yet and there are boxes of stuff that are pool related. So if I were you, I would go ahead and get some done up and then if I find one, I will send it to you.

I found one!

Hi Shayla,

I found a different version than the "Show Me That Shot" books I had made up. Someone gave me this one and I found it in a purse that I was cleaning out. It's called Pool Shot Grids. The number listed to find them is 707-575-4113. They were printed by Simply Printing in 1994.

There are pages with pool tables with grids and some room for notes on the bottom. Let me know if you can find them and if they no longer make them, I can send you this one.

Howdy rackmsuckr,

I saw Shayla this weekend, and she has successfully made up some little 3X5 booklets with the pool tables and cue balls and a place for notes. She said she's not quite ready to take it public, but I think she's working through the final issues and may be actually selling them soon. It's a great little book - I think there are 25 pages in each one. They look like they'll be a great aid in documenting shots, and they fit in any pocket or in your cue case.
