Pool Tournaments (Starting Times)

Is pool the only sport where the matches almost never start on time and/or players are allowed to arrive up to 15 minutes late for their matches? It seems that if pool wants to raise its image it could start by being more professional and disciplined. Gotta go...the 3:00pm match from Tunica is starting at 3:10!

I agree. It's one of my pet peeves. It's not fair to those who show up on time to wait for the lazy, who sometimes will call saying they're on the way, and then never show because they found other action.

I live in Florida, where most everyone is late for everything...

ha ha well I know my match was at 4pm and I showed up at 416..got dqd at 415..ha ha I wish 4pm sharp would have been the exact time so I didnt have to waste that 15 minutes trying to get there..ha ha I just shook my opponents hand and said good shooting..

kicker was there was only 10 of us left in the tournament and I had Bergman 2-1 the last match needing only 5 balls to his 9..Felt like I was playing decent..but hey rules are rules..ha ha I think u should only have 5 minutes to report to your match..Unless something happens out of your control..me..well i was asleep...
