It is great to let AZ'ers know when billiard stuff is on TV. Many times I have been able to watch something thanx to being warned. Thank you.

But, what irritates me is that they don't put the time and date on their post. What happens is someone responds, and for days afterwards people (including me) key on the post heading thinking they are missing a good tournament on the boob tube only to find out the post is 6 hours, or a day old.

I suggest u post something like this:

Billiards on TV 11PM Eastern, 10-11-07
or
Pool on ESPN2, 11PM Eastern, 10-11-07

By posting the time, channel, and date in the heading, dummies like me won't keep clicking on the post thinking they are missing some pool action.

By the way, 11PM Eastern 10-11-07 there actually is a match on ESPN2. Hope u enjoy.

Hi Charlie - although your suggestion is a good one, the date and time are listed on each post anyway (top left corner) of the post. unless you set the time otherwise, you will have Arizona time (for me on the east coast it is always 3 hours behind). just thought i would share.

Yes, the date and time are indeed listed WITHIN the post, but, u have to click on the post heading to go in and c the time and date.

My point being: if the date and time of the event are place in the heading post, then u wouldn't have to click and go into the post only to find out that the event was over 4 hours ago.

i suppose i should have read your post a little closer - i was doing many things at the time of my response and absolutely missed the meat of the text. good luck with your request.

PS the only reason i clicked on your post was because i thought pool was on tv - maybe you did it on purpose, but i would have never read your post had the subject line been a bit clearer - oh and the frowny face did nothing to deter me on that thought either.

Perhaps I'm not correctly explaining what I mean. 2 sample posts below:

Pool on TV tonight  This sucks

That does not tell u much and u must click on that heading to gain more knowledge. That post heading is the same whether viewed today, tomorrow or next week. The only way to tell when it was posted is to click and go into the post, then look in the upper left corner only to find out the event was over 2 days ago.

Pool on ESPN2 at 11PM Eastern 10-11-07 :) Tells it all

That header post tells it all. If viewed the next day, I don't even have to click to go into the post to know that the event is already over.

Hope I expained that correctly

By the way, read the bottom of my original post. Pool IS on TV tonight.

oh my gosh - can it get any worse than this :( i must have selective viewing tonight. i am going to blame it on packing for the US Open  either way, at least you are getting bumped up to the top everytime i make a mistake :D

hover

You do have a point but hovering over the title usually tells you all you need to know without opening the post. I hover over the title of many posts and if the first line of the post doesn't persuade me it needs opening I move on.
