Mike played well. Shane played better.

To use a baseball analogy, a .300 batting average gets you on the All-Star team but doesn't win you any MVP awards.

That is unbelievable...gotta play perfect just to break even.

Another significant figure is Shane's break-and-foul percentage....
..it was quite a bit worse than Mike's.
So, according to those stats, the more adventurous breaker gets rewarded.
....'course, Shane broke quite a bit more, which affects percentage.
 
shane missed 3 balls. All Banks. 2 were on the 1 ball after he broke, the other was on a 3 ball that he got out of line for. both banks on the 1 ball were 2 way shots and the 3 was tough . Mike missed easy shots

In a race to 27? On a standard Diamond? Playing 10 ball? That's sick. Absolutely sick.

Mike got destroyed, but anyone in the world would have a hard time fading that.

It didn't really mean much because of the small numbers. Shane fouled 3 times on 54 breaks and Mike fouled 1 time on 29 breaks. The breaker lost all 4 of those games. (And all 4 were on Day 1).
