Pool Trivia Thread

OK, on another forum someone started a pool trivia thread and it turned out to be alot of fun so this is how it works, someone posts a trivia question and the person who responds must first answer the previous question correctly before posting a question of their own, and the thread continues on like a chain reaction, simple enough! I'll start us off with something that's not too hard to get things moving.

Who won the WPA world Championships in 1993 for both the mens and womens division?

Remember this question must be answered correctly before you can post your own trivia.

Answer-Nobody( there are no transgendered world champs)

My turn... Who won the WPA World Championships in 1993 "IN' both the mens and womens division? :D ( sorry just couldn't resist)

The WPA World Championship in 1993 was won by Fong-Pang Chao (Chinese Taipei), and the venue was in Konigswinter, Germany, according to this: http://worldpoolchampionship.com/event_information.asp

These pool acronyms can be confusing at times. According to the WPA website, Earl Strickland won the first "WPA" in 1990. However, Jose Parica told me that he won, and I quote, "the first-ever world pool championship in Japan," which was before he came to the States, maybe 1970's-ish. Remember, Jose "Amag" Parica led the celebrated "Philippino Invasion."

Ok you answered...what is your question? (This ought to be good. :D )

If you weren't such a doofus and read the rules, you would have known that I couldn't ask a question yet because it hadn't been verified whether I was correct or not. Simon sez...what is your IQ duh (my guess is closer to dress size than weight) :D

Please allow me to verify .... "Yes, you have no memory today". Now you are free to ask away ... and you are leading the contest with one correct answer !

Dave (just stirring things a bit)

I think that only ties me with JAM, but will keep me ahead of doofus Landshark unless somebody just throws her a bone. Which ain't a bad idea anyway.

THE QUESTION IS:
What year was the first coin operated table put into operation?

Anyway, I'll shoot another one:
Mika Immonen has a twin brother who has won a medal in European Championships, true or false ?

A good intelligent conversation is hard to come by and so is someone that follows the rules. You're out of turn...answer my question first and then you can shoot this one. (look at the time stamp)

You mean you really look like your avatar? How can I pay attention if the picture doesn't have you listed as landwhale...I mean landshark?

what's all this IQ talk about - isn't IQ short for "idiot's q-ball" - where your IQ is how many times you have to hit the cueball in order to win a frame of snooker? :)

Why don't you just answer the pool question? ANYBODY answer the pool question. Here's a hint: it was a great year for airplanes.

In the mean time I'll PM.
