JAM forgot to mention the lovely Loree Jon Jones won the womens division in 1993.Fong-Pang Chao isn't transgendered, he did win the mens that year. :D

When it's frozen to another ball that IS "frozen" to the rail?

Tom: I think this is as much of a "real question" as any of the others, especially since this is "AZ"Billiards.com. The answer just isn't as easily found by using google. :p The rules of the game are that you answer the question correctly before asking yours. :cool:

You know, you'd think that there would be an abundance of Robinson cues around here, but there really aren't. I've always thought they were really nice looking cues, but I could never get over the joint.

I don't know if you were allowed to make a question.. I wasn't...

But I'll answer your question anyway.

In straight pool, if an object ball is closer than 1 ball's width from the cushion, and it's driven 2 times to the cushion by the same player without any other ball contacting any cushion, the third time the same player faces the shot, the object ball is declared to be frozen to the cushion, even though if it isn't. Kind of hard to explaing in few words.... :)

When the person calling it "frozen" has bad eyesight, I've seen this hundreds of times so it has to be a correct answer. (LOL)

Okay, since you guys are going to move on to the next question now, beaten and stumped (:D), I'll just tell you that it's "Babe" Thompson. What is it with "Babe" and straight pool (as in, "Babe" Cranfield)? Hmm, maybe I should use that nickname. Maybe I'd play better straight pool.
