hi everyone, for those of you who don`t already know , POOLCOMPS.COM is starting money tournaments and premium memberships again. I was told they have jump shot and masse technology in the works now. Anyway as i do believe it is the the best site barnone for practice for us married guys who only get to go to 2 tourny`s a month (but that`s another topic sorry). Anyway do you think it will fly seeing that they had so many people they didn`t pay from before, when they shut down premium memberships and tourny`s. Sounds like something else doesn`t it (IPT).

u know its funny if they actually made the tables more realistic and would start to actually advertise on the internet instead of just advertising on sites like azb, even if they don't pay back the 80 g's they owe us it wouldn't surprise me a bit if it would succeed, i told mr peter worth b4 they ever started that they had no chance to succeed and he said they're still gonna try, it's not that they have bad ideas it's just that none of them have experience playing pool online or i'd assume in internet advertising either, the tourneys would get around 500 players but it was actually more like 150 or so people with anywhere from 1-5 names in each tourney

another funny thing is that a good portion of the members came from the original site and now they have screwed all of usout of time/money so they have no user base at all, and surely they can't expect us to sit back an watch them pay out new monies when we are still owed $ for over 6 months now

Someone has to explain this to me... you go online and put real money up on playin virtual pool?!

poolcomps explanation

yes thats basically correct, the way it worked was you would become a premium member paying $7.50 a month, which entitled you to play in the tournaments. As i recall they had $10000.00 tournaments once a month first place got $1000.00 . And they had 3 or 4 daily tournaments for $500.00 first place probably got about $50.00. What happened and still does is you set up a paypal account so anytime they had tourneys that cost money to get in that was a fast and reliable way to do so . Also you have a paypal account and you want to gamble with someone you could do it that way, a lot of trust involved in that . I`m sure quite a few people got burned that way, being that you could be playing someone from anyplace in the world. Not like you can knock on there door to collect. If you`ve never tried poolcomps.com before give it a go it`s great for those times your wife just won`t let you leave the house and it`s free.
