This Memorial Day weekend, I would like to invite anyone interested to a pool and snooker extravaganza at my house in Battle Ground, Washington. My wife and I will provide lunch and breakfast, and will probably barbecue a couple of large London Broils with her awesome potato salad for dinner. We have two extra bedrooms and plenty of room for RVs or tent camping. I'm not much of a drinker (there will be some beer), so bring your own booze. There will also be darts and horseshoes (they call me Double Ringer). Come for the weekend, the day, or just stop by for a few hours. PM me or e-mail at the address in my profile if interested. Hope to meet some of you there!

Mike and I would have attended because we would normally go to the Cadillac Island Casino tourney down there in Longview, but Ford called me yesterday to make sure we are going to his tournament at Shotze's 9ball tourney in Everett the same weekend. Of course, if we are knocked out early.... :p
 
What a great offer ! Icouldn't think of a better way to spend the Memorial Day Weekend being around the game i love and the people who love it to . I'ts to bad i live to far to make it There. That sounds like a GREAT TIME sorry i live so far away, myself and my son would LOVE to attend something like that HOPE everyone has a great time and YOU & your WIFE sound like GREAT HOSTS.
 
I realized when I posted that most people would live too far away or might have already made plans, but I wanted to emulate some of the get-togethers that occur on the east coast and southern states. Seems like us west-coasters (north of Sacto) seldom get a chance to meet up with each other. Thanks for the good wishes...

That sounds like a wonderful time for all AZ'rs. It would b great to put a face on some of these names, even the ugly ones. :D Thanx so much for the open invite, but I live in SE PA on the other coast. Plus my space ship is out of service for a few minor repairs. :cool: Hope u have a lot of great weather and a great time. Good Shoot'n.

(on a funny side note, my female Rottweiler was bred by Redwood Krest Rottweilers up in Battle Ground. We got to go up there and meet her "daddy" and man, what a nice little town Battle Ground is. We ate at a little Thai restaurant while in town and it was FANTASTIC!!!

Good idea

When I travel to Australlia to visit some friends, there always seems to be someone having a get-together for a day to play some snooker at their home. Sometimes quite a few show up. Once there was over 20!
I am in Vancouver WA, maybe I could drop by for a visit. Not sure about my schedule yet.
 
i live in my rv year round, do you have full hookups???? were abouts in wa. r ya????? next time i pass thru i can definately stop by!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!you on the coast or east of the mountains???
 
Sorry, no hook-ups. I do have some long extension cords and it wouldn't take long to uncover the septic tank and run a hose. I live near Vancouver which is right across the river from Portland, between the coast and the Cascades.
 
I can't believe there is no one around there that will take you up on your generous offer. I believe UWPoolGod1 lives down that way? Can't think of any other posters. I'll bet Glen Atwell would show up if we told him.
 
Well, it is Memorial Day and people up here tend to be a little less "friendly" than what I am used to in other parts of the country. I've tried to talk Todd (UWPoolGod) into playing snooker before and he said he would, but has never made a commitment. Last time I heard from him was July or August when I asked him to let me know if and when he wanted to play. Some of my league teammates are coming out, Billy_Bob might make it, and Wolfdancer might come down, too. APA starts May 7th, so I may be able to get a few players from that league as well. I did have another player from Portland contact me, but he will be in Wisconsin that weekend. Perhaps he will come out some other time. There are a couple of local tournaments that Glen shows up to. I haven't met him yet, but expect to one of these days soon. Not sure if I am in his league yet or not. Should have put an ad in On the Break News. Maybe for May : ).
