Oh yeah PS - This particular action started off dirt cheap. The guy that lost " backed it and jacked it" multiple time throughout the session and also just straight raised the bet on a bunch of sets ending up playing the final set for $2500. ( 13 sets taking 13 straight hours btw )
As it turns out, the guy that lost was not quite ready to quit, actually he wanted to flip for set # 14 and make it for $5000. Well who doesn't know what's coming now............ Couple things - pool hall was past closing time ( although I am absolutely positive they could have been " persuaded " to stay open for however long necessary - they have done it for me quite a fee times ) but most important is the backer of the winner " Felt SLEEPY " and decided it was past his bedtime and pulled up and wanted to go home which he did.
Now yes 13 hours straight is a nice little session no doubt, and quite possibly the players were pretty tired too. So im the backers defense he prob knew or saw his horse getting tired and regardless of ethics its not a great idea to play when your dragging ass really bad, prob easiest way to give it all back especially with how the berting was going.
Well no problem one might say, as everyone could just go home, get sleep and start over when everyone got up. Nope. As it turns out the guy stuck is from out of town ( pretty good distance away ) and had to go home soon as done with match.
Well on the good side, they have scheduled a continuation coming up very soon. In the rematch the loser wants to " play for some real money " this time lol. And before anyone says it NO this guy is not just talking SH1T . These sets really are not a lot of action for this guy. He is a very high stakes card player and truthfully these sets are almost killing time money
Stay tuned and we will see what happens I suppose!!!!
BUT NO LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, POOL AND ACTION IS NOT DEAD. May not be like the good ol days but at least there's still some hope!
