"Popular" j/b with leather tip??

has anyone tried putting a leather tip on the Gulyassy's? if so, could you describe your experience?

or has anyone put on a leather tip on a Stinger??

i ask because i really dont like phenolic tips...

a friend of mine has one, but i didnt like the feel of it. a little too stiff for me.

I don't see anything special in those cues once you remove the phenolic tip.
I just started to experiment with the White Diamond tip. It's not phenolic but it very hard and gets the job done just as well.

I just wrote a review of a cue with a White Diamond tip and how it breaks and jump compared to other cues. Maye you'll find it useful.

Yeah the white diamond is a good tip. I have one on my Gilbert J/B.
