I'm in Portland for a few days. Can't play play without being antisocial--but might be able to visit a room with some family. Any particularly nice pool rooms in Portland?

places to play

Classic Billiards is in portland. 122nd and powell

cue billiards is closer to gresham then portland. i think it's like 240-260th and stark.

break time billiards is in tigard. On highway 99.

realto (i don't know the correct spelling) is downtime portland. i believe you have to be 21 or over there so if your taking family keep that in mind.

Best Family Pool Hall

Break Time Billiards in Tigard, OR. They have about 20 Gold Crown Tables in a nice family enviroment. They have a tight Gold Crown with fast cloth and even tighter Gold Crown (4" pockets) with slow cloth.

Rialto is at 4th & washington...very nice gold crowns, good food & bar

Classics @122nd & powell is where to look for action I don't know that I'd suggest either place for kids.

(edit) With kids? I've never been to break time in Tigard (pronounced "Tie-gerd") but it sounds like the best for the family envrionment...thanks to Bob for the info...

Thanks everybody.

We're all over 21. Wouldn't mind seeing a place with a nice bar/good pool room design.

Sam's Billiards is pretty cool also. Rialto's is more of a restaurant/bar that happens to have Gold Crowns. You won't find any action at these places. If you are looking for action. Classic Billiards is probably the only place to go.

As far as a nice trendy social environment that has tables, try Henry's 12th street tavern. That is also a very nice restaurant, and the billiard room gets poppin' on the weekends.

I'm from the basic area. A road player and self went everywhere looking for a game. Then we finally found Vancouver WA just over the river. J C turns to me and says we have just found the gambling side of Oregon lol.
I can't recall the name but it will come to me. any help out there. They sponser lots of daily tourny's open 24 hours lots of tables and a great kitchen. Every thing ya need. Its just off FourPlain Mill Plain. Any help locals??? I'll make a few calls and get back. Classics is good. But I've never got a game unless prearranged.

Might be talking about Halftime Tavern which is in Hazel Dell, just north of Vancouver. 8 tables and quite a few tourneys/leagues. Can find a game there.

I play out of Back Alley Bar & Grill on Mill Plain & Andresen. 6 tables, sports bar atmosphere. Some gambling if wanted. They have a tourney tonight I believe at 7:00p, usually the bar adds 100%. They also have a tourney on Sunday at 6p. It is a tough alternating break tourney race to 2 double elim with on average 7 regional BCA Master players and many other solid players. Many matches go BNR, BNR, BNR. Gotta hate losing the coinflip. Not sure how many people will make it tonight with in being Thanksgiving, but maybe a bunch since tomorrow is a day off too. I will probably be there.
