Didn't know what I was going to post in this thread...but knew I would.
Your post made me realize why I don't wear glasses.
Always been a bit near sighted..take after my mother's side.
She wore glasses all her life and she was concerned about me in school.
But I always had high marks 'cause I was a bookworm and I also learned
to negotiate early in life.
She was determined to take me to an optician when I was 7 or 8.
I said "Mom,what do you mean I'm near sighted...I saw stars last night....
..do you know how far away they are?"
She said "I give up!"
Now I aint no spring chicken...hell,I'm not even a chicken..
But I think the reason I still read books like a teenager is the eye
exercise that playing pool has given me.
Last night I called a hit in a money match from 3 tables away...
..the ball 'shivered' without changing position.
And I can still see stars,Mom....
..although sometimes it's 'cause people get tired of my dumb jokes
