Possible Szamboti fraud on E Bay

Sometimes you need to overpay initially for the gems that are out there, because there arn't that many. The cue has alot of work in it, although I know alot of people do not like MOP. I think played this cue is a 20k cue so I don't think that 10k extra for a MINT condition cue is out of the question.

barry knows the cue as authentic
i think it's more like 18-20k unplayed cue
he had it on ebay a couple months ago and i think 12k was high bid before he pulled the auction.
i made a deal recently on a much nicer unplayed for considerably less than his starting bid

so being "a player" you would rather play with a used $14,500 gus szamboti than a new $2,000 searing? or a new $2,500 jmw?, or a new $3,000 mottey, or a new $2,500 barry? or any number of other custom new cues? :confused:

Unplayed equallying not refinished and restored by Barry then never hitting a ball, unplayed meaning all original mint, like Gus just sent it to you.

When dealing with cues like Bushka's and Botis when you start to talk cues that have never been played with, you start at a whole new level of pricing. Especially when you are talking cues with this much work in them. They are just not around. But he may not find a buyer at 29k. Maybe he is just starting the price inflated, looking to field offers, imagine that?

Nope...not saying that at all...saying I would rather play with the 4 shaft, slightly used 15k Boti, than a 30k brand spanking new Boti.

And knowing that I have never hit any of those other cues, I would just take a Schon and be quite happy.

Once you play with that 30k cue, its no longer a 30k cue. Good move on taking the other cue to play with. Even though its just fantasy.. :)

Mark doesn't hide stuff, it just takes him a while to find it. If you have ever seen his office, his storage room, his showroom, his storage containers you would understand...

"slightly used"? didnt see that in the ad. even says one shaft is warped and two shafts made by barry. i imagine that probably means refin as well. you could have gotten a brand new barry from joe a couple weeks ago for 6500 if your just talking szams for "a player" like yourself.

Yeah but one collector that shall remain nameless was so frustrated dealing with Mark he started getting copies made...
