Hi, I went to post a cue to the USA today. I had to unseal the package, show that it does not contain Ivory, or banned exotic Rosewoods.
I knew that Ivory is banned but not heard of Rosewoods being banned.
The upshot is , I have to return tomorrow, then package the parcel in front of them,then seal it and post away.
It could not be done today as the person who signs off such things had already left for the day.
You just can not win in the system.
Anyone find that they are checking parcels being posted internationally at the moment.
Most stuff I send away never gets checked.

Only plants, parts, products, or derivatives of Brazilian rosewood acquired prior to listing on June 11, 1992, may be used in commercial trade. I haven't heard of such measures being used before, but then again, New Zealand is notoriously strict on their fish and wildlife enforcement. Thanks for the heads-up.

i think this is all over the feds raided all gibson guitar factory's
if the Indian rosewood is over 6mm thick is illegal there is a couple threads in non pool related section
