Potentially inappropriate thread, but I am curious

Why more men don't pretend to be transgendered and enter regional (JPNEWT or whateve) tours. Gotta be honest, and I'm not downing the women here so please don't think that. But from my observation most of them on these smaller local tours seem to be B+, maybe some of the better ones low A on a good day. You put me in a dress and I'm walking away with the cash in most of these tournaments most of the time. I'm curious if there are rules about this. Like if you are truly transgendered, like I've read about Rhea on here, more power to you. I'm not transphobic or anything. If that's really the case and you are truly transgendered, then fine. But if you are just a dirtbag that is willing to shave and put on traditionally female clothing and enter these tournaments every week, then why doesn't this happen all the time? Pool players not being known as typical moral types is all I'm saying....

I suppose that even the lowlife pool players have their limits....LOL

I can't speak for the rest of the country but I'm from West Virginia. I could only imagine a dude in a dress hustling women's competitions at bars around here would end up bloody in the parking lot. Likely by the women.

Renee Richards did a gender change and played on the female pro tennis circuit. Didn't really break any records.

What about Bruce Jenner? Do you think he was really a female that disguised as a male for easier competition in the Olympics? Or does he now want to continue as a female in the Olympics and set a record for being the first to win in both genders?

There are a lot of females competing in sports and especially those from Russia that are always suspect and under investigation of being a male.

I do agree about the level of play not being there but I can't imagine that the payoff would be that great to bother with as the top female tournaments don't pay out much.

im not hip to the terms, but in my area there's a girl that used to be a guy. I guess there's even some male parts left over (not sure about that) but locally she/he plays as a man and isn't allowed to get the one game spot that the women get in our quarterly tournament. Everyone including her/him is really cool and casual about it. I really don't think that getting the spot would cause any issues with this crowd ether. The general consensus has always been, if you're gonna commit to it, maybe you deserve it lol it's different from a guy throwing a wig on and trying win lol

If you are actually curious, search WPBA and transgender on here and you will find discussion on the point. The WPBA has a detailed policy on what one would need to do and no one is going to do that for such stakes. You will also see that there was a WPBA pro who is transgender.

I assume the regional tours have a similar policy (or would quickly if the issue arose). Or maybe they have a policy like the APA apparently does, relying on government ID (see the thread from last year's APA nationals that will show up in the search I suggested).
