Wow, finished 13-9 but last time it was 13-10 the other way.
Note to self discipline:
Learning from mistakes is part of the case hardened path.
I was avoiding reference to the commentary regarding, "playing at this level". Well because of the required response. "Sir my altitude is seven thousand two hundred and fifty feet above sea level." Ok I feel better now.
Post match analysis is critical. Monday was always film day. 1968 technology provided film. Coach McHargue provided uh analysis and input. He had taken a 2 years winless team to 31 games straight. The value of the videos is obvious to me.
Falling into a story:
My favorite moments during the Monday review of the game came when Coach hit his back up clicker, saying look at that hit! Smile E. Then again. I get to see their man go airborne and take a somersault before landing.
I earned the spot as lead man on our wall kickoff return. I was on the front line at the side of our bench. On kick I turned and went straight back. Staying 5 yards off the line. Watching the receiver. As soon as he catches I go straight to him. Survey for their fastest man. I had the block that is no longer allowed. The rest of the front line had gone straight to my path and followed forming the wall. Oh it worked well.
