Jim Ward gave me that lesson at the White Spot. I was playing Rodney his son close to my age and ability. We hooked up playing 9 ball at $5. I took a $40 lead and was feeling strong. Rodney huddle with Jim and Jim proposed 8 ball for $10 or they surrender. Cost me $40.🤷

The finger tap: Well for me it's the ring finger on the bridge hand. Perhaps a pressure valve. Maybe a metronome? Couldn't manufacture it but when I quit trying it showed up.🤷 Go figure.

So I try to put a mental landmark at point of contact. While standing I put the same mental mark on the cue ball. Allowing the computer the time it needs to proceed. Mine isn't as fast as Ronnie's.🤷 Just connect the two. The straight line is easiest to calculate. Absolute pure contact with and through the cue ball is job 1.

Multi tasking today. Well the fitness program has always had multiple benefits. The challenges have made it fun and rewarding. This morning's challenge is 'build a better mouse trap'.
The Slow Kiss is my favorite. Always thought it was a way to impress the Girls.🤷 Well on the table it's a good testing ground. Trying to develop a new habit is the challenge of the Cricket use.
Adding the multi pad is a fun option. Alignment of the Alien break pad becomes an aiming aid.🤷

The cold start is a slow start. Hence my Slow Kiss. Keep it..... well my toughest against the wall comeback ended with opponent saying, "I can't beat your SLOW game."
I had just won 13 games of bar table 9 ball in 45 minutes. At closing time, I was down 80 at ten a game. With 3 barrels left and no job. Survival skills.🤷
So the slow part doesn't need to be much but at the end. Kind of like getting a rolling start, at the drags.🤷

The camera is a tool I have neglected. I see enough areas in need of tuning.🤷 Hopefully I haven't broken the internet.

My Slow Kiss exercise/therapy is what I would equate to the automobile test track. The track I would take the new student to and set up the camera and the balls on head spot foot spot. After each attempt. Stop and review make suggestions then delete and do it again. Wash Rinse Repeat. Practice practice practice.
I find it amusing the percentage of novice players that are sure they are not beginners. You don't have to be a beginner to go back to the beginning.🤷 Would expect them to devote a week at an hour a day, before any more input. Make sure the small adjustment s are becoming habits. Barry Stark shows how he had to correct and redirect at the next lesson.
Being humble doesn't require swallowing the pride.
My therapy game is left vs right race to 10. Gives me an stretch and flex morning range of movement exercise. The addition of the alien pads increase the hazard of the slow roll, gives a little longer work out. With the balls finished frozen is proving to be The Unicorn.

For sure, this thread. It's a breeze compared to the experiment thread 😉🎉
Experiments thread has its share of scribbles by "the kids". It does however give up some gold.
 
Maybe the addition of pictures will help.
I buy em books and send them to school and what do they do?
