Practice practice practice

What's the trick to shooting one handed?
It's not a trick 😉
For me it's about the foundation then shooting platform.
Finding the balance in the cue and myself.
Then employ the aiming process which starts at centerball. One handed treetopped will show me where I actually struck and launched the ball. Sometimes it's quite amusing. 🤷‍♂️
With Repititions being a part of my physical therapy the improvement in accuracy is a bonus.
At 7-0 Lefty was awarded 2 amusement points for a funny attempt. ☺

Kind of funny Si just put his treetopped skill on display with a nice recovery shot on the black. A scary shot considering he played perfectly to the next red.

For me the one handed practice is about executing my process (pre shot routine) right up to setting the bridge. Giving me the chance to evaluate and refine the routine or habits or is it my common practice. Precisely following the recipe each step.

Right finally closed the 1st station with a 4. Taking a 12-5 (Lefty got 3 amusement points 🤷‍♂️) lead to station 2, with 2 rails to the orange 5.
Now I get to follow the exact same process and get to set the bridge hand. Kind of learning to crawl before walk. At station 3 we get to Run. 😉
Almost forgot the Trophy 🏆 photo. Well layout of 2 rails to the 5 challenge.

The afternoon lessons: At the English Open
Ronnie puts it on display again.
The expression, "inch perfect" is often used but millimeter perfect is more accurate with Ronnie when he's In the Zone.

I watched some of this and slowed speed down to 1/4th. On shots when Ronnie was looking DIRECTLY at camera it was obvious that he was looking at object ball last. Sorry bud but its true. I'm sure some of these guys ARE CBL shooters but some that say they are maybe aren't. Doesn't matter how as long as it works for you. Still perplexed why you are so hell-bent on proving that CBL is better. Its not. It IS a way but not THE only way.

Even if it's a simple job. It still deserves my respect.
My Father lesson: "Son, if they aren't paying you what you are worth.....Find a better paying job! You never give less!"
Watching Trump vs Selt. I must be in Heaven. Well it's getting a little chill here. OK perhaps this is my Hell. 🤷‍♂️ 😉
So yeah, the simple steps Here's the Deal.

Station 1 is simple. One rail to the red.
Judd wins the first frame after epic battle.
Right leads 4-0.

Funny the inspiration the Snooker provides. Right hits one less than perfect, a 9.Yes it's The Shoulder Barge. But Don T tell . 😉

Lefty serving 0-13. 2 rails to the dirt color ball.

Interesting shot where Judd takes the shot right handed using the bridge after turning down the natural right handed. Huh?

Leave It To Lefty; Appeals to the rules committee and gets a funny ruling for a funny shot.

Kicking 2 rails to the dirt color 6, he brushed the 7 on the 5 point hole leaving it in hole and catching the ricochet to the 6 and stopped in the 3 point hole. Score it a 10
5 for king pad hole plus 3 point hole and 2 for the rails. 🤷‍♂️ Very friendly game. 😉
Now to find 3 to the 7.

Focus on the strike to the cueball is just one facet of my method. Another is the ring finger as trigger finger. I didn't invent either however I feel that I shoot better since adopting both.
My hell bent is directed towards enjoying life. Pocket billiards is a hobby that I enjoy. My practice sessions are geared to my personal fitness (both physical and mental) with the pursuit of excellence being a fun challenge. The fitness part is collateral to an extent. 🤷‍♂️ My Daddy told me, "if it feels good do it. When it hurts quit." So call it practice practice practice or call it my fitness program or even an old fart's folly. It's still the way I start the day. After approximately an hour I am usually covering the table and taking on the day with a smile.

Experiments in looking at the cue ball while delivering the stroke is the thread where I present all the evidence that I have uncovered regarding who looks at the white and when.

Hell-bent on promoting snooker:
Judd Trump vs John Higgins. I awoke late but only missed the first frame. Expecting a complete and humbling lesson.
I pay for lessons. Of course I charge for same. 🤷‍♂️ You wanna play some? ☺ 😉

Just watched Judd miss shape only.
I am not saying that Judo is superior to karate. I favor one but have skills with both. 😉 is my argument for both hands. ( Hell-bent my ass) is the underbreath mumble.
Higgins leading but an epic battle.

Crotch shot O the Day:This is one handed (a trick) One rail to the teal ten. Try it you'll like it. 😉 the nice part is the orientation of the crotch giving best possible centerball strike.Edit: No chalk, "definitely no chalk" says Rainman.

Gotta love the inspiration the Snooker provides. Lefty closed the station with a 6 to take a 10-3 lead to station 2. Or more to the orange stripe 13. (Grrrrr.....my Ass.) Oh yeah! Pass me off. 😉
