Practice practice practice

My Chase game has me playing the scales. Just like my music lessons. An hour a day as a retired hobby ist. Just for maintenance.😉
Starting out with the other hand? Be nice to the little guy. You can laugh at him but also provide the encouraging. Give the kid a spot. Ditch the chalk and both hands will get the chance to laugh.🤷🏋️

What I have found, in cultivating the weaker hand....The basics are more solid as I was able to bypass the less than nominal habits the right had developed. So I have no hesitation shooting a pressure shot with the left. Historical, the left has always come through....well did give up $40ish, to harvest $240 the next meeting.🤷
Just Sayin' be nice to the weaker teammate as they can save your butt. Ops there I go a preachin'...... Again 😉

disbelief, shame, or exasperation
Reminds me of the time I walked into the tavern and asked the bartender, "am I cut off yet?" Bonk

Never read the instructions first! Save it for when all else fails. Same for the left hand😉. If you see me Open with the left..... I am bringing my best. Like Ronnie, he breaks off with the left.
Judd and Mark ...... well, no fallback.

Whew, finally Judd surrender. 3-1 Judd at the interval.
Oh so many things I have learned. Watching as per Yogi's advice.😉 Yesterday I learned of the rail kick. Which I never knew existed. The discussion by Grandmaster s was enlightenment. Anomalies in the rebound from the rail now have a more favorable result for the rubber, as I can change it.😉
Don't mess with the pool gods. I see the snooker gods have the same sense of humor. When I get the fluke roll against. Laugh. Any anger only godes the gawds.

If you can only win when you are ahead.... you are a front runner.(my definition) So I find it amusing when they call Ronnie a front runner.
My self to self always included that as I sat and watched my opponent run out, again.
The edge, the Tension. When you get an instrument razor sharp...it can be fragile.
I try to find that Happy place where the challenge of the shot and the joy thereof prevail over the fear of failure. Shit I have survived a lot of those. So Be The Competitor, bring my best and feel good about the results.

Well Judd's uplifting against Stewart Bingham has carried into the next match. Jumping out to 7-1. Note to self when I get ahead; Don't give them a breath. Mark is capable.

The Man With No Eyes: Remember ing Cool Hand Luke. I have about the same chance to read Ronnie's eyes. Remember ing his answer some years back regarding which ball he was looking at was, "can't be sure" on some shots one and other times the other.
I did witness an incredible glance of the eyes 👀 on one shot. He was in Rocket mode, eyes took a hard glance to the side a split second then back and shoot instantly.... perfection!…...???Whew make me think of Mark Williams no look shooting.

I enjoy the role of observer, sounds better than I like to watch. Observation station is better than easy chair.
The Man with no eyes is all seeing.

My new high definition TV making the task of observation much more enjoyable and educational.
Ronnie is demonstrate his high definition focus. Picking specks from the cloth that he noticed from 15 feet distance. Constantly noticing slightest little specks on balls, cloth and cue tip. A lot can be learned from even the slightest. Ronnie once commented that he studied and emulate Steve Davis right down to the shoes he wore.
My observation report would include how Ronnie returned to his seat for even the slightest delay of a ball cleaning. Rising from the chair and approaching the table is coriographed. A well practiced move. Reminds me of my preference for being a lead off hitter in baseball. Setting the mind and walking to the challenge.
The thinking position and return to same when his all seeing reports a new variable. The chalking obviously is a part of the think and possibly a nerve moderation. Just touching the outer limits of the tip in a rythmic fashion.
Mid session break, Mighty Man and Super Mouse battle is awesome.

Display of temper obvious distraction:
Falls in the realm of unsportsmanlike and warrent a warning.

The message sent and received, "I'm done for."
"The perfect shark doesn't make them miss the shot. It makes them miss the shape." Was what I was taught.
Then there's Karma. Quite often when they have success in distraction, they still can't get out.
So many times the bush league players have walked from the table with comments along the lines of, "there you go." Sometimes because they have tried more explicit comments that sound like a consesion. I would walk to them with extended hand to overcome the distraction and raise my ire to make sure I could provide my best.
I must assume that John's temper was honest. And Ronnie's missed shape was a result of a more casual attitude after John showed weakness.

Ah the "let up" Mark just did it. Handed Judd the frame and ooops ....... Action, we have action. 49-49 The let up....struck before the plan was ready. Hendry reference deceleration quite often in commentary.

My practice is my fitness program. Mental and physical.
Stage fright is the hardest to practice. Well on the table. However there's technique that can be practicing in interaction with strangers.
Chase is still entertaining.
This is a position that I bank the 5 cross side and take the cue ball to the foot rail to kick the 4 to the side. Haven't hit it but just discovered it.

Watching Judd and Mark inspired me. During the 15 minutes interval I hit the treble on this shot. Banking the 5 cross side then hitting the 4 to bank straight back to the right corner.
Then Judd hits 3 consecutive doubles!!!!! :Yikes: What inspiration!!!
The precision put on display! 👍
Ronnie and John should be up shortly. Glad I stocked up on popcorn.

Judge Judy says I can't tell you what they are thinking. I can only relate what I observed. (By watching)😉
I look for the rythem and any disrupt to same. They all look so smooth when in stroke. Even though they each have a different rythem.
