Practice practice practice

No really I speak from experience! My second summer as a Cadet shortly after flying the B-52, I got 6 weeks leave. At home, 18 years old and near Trinity lake..... recreation!!!!
My parents had arranged a job..... packing hod. Mr Kinney and I poured the high school bleachers. Work ethic?😉
Oh yeah, the cat poop in the sand was a hazard. My first apprentice instructions included check the sand. Oh what a sight, seeing his trowel cutting the mud with the skilled movement. The perfect slope left by the trowel. Then the remainder of a cat turd in the slope. Kind of like finding half a worm in the apple. Then the look of scorn. Oh that was painful.

Inability or Disability, can't or won't. Or just don't feel like it.🤷
My survival key is. Know who I am and where I am. Taking everything in like the Tiger.
"You gotta know when to run."
I liked Judd Trump's explanation of his earliest infatuation with the power draw. He has the best now. Well maybe not more than Ronnie but more likely to use it on shots that Ronnie would find a solution more suitable to his strength.
My practice time supervisor allows me the option to spend the whole session on a particular shot. Married to the rail, long range curve ball are a couple of my challenge exercises. These 2 test my precision. I like the feeling in competition when I see a shot that I have worked on a lot. Rather than I have missed it a lot.
My practice gives me the chance to gauge my comfort zone on shots. Power draw is last on my search list for solutions. Guess that's what I practice this morning.

Cocaine( By Eric Clapton ). I think of it as an accelerant. I didn't try to play pool on it. I did sample it mid '70s. At a time when I had done acid. For $1 I was on an 18 hour adventure. I saw the price and the duration of the high from coke and said, nah, not for me. At the party it was, him: "here try this" me, "no thanks it doesn't do anything for me." Him, "well you have never had the good stuff." Me, "ok ....sniff sniff..
..
Nope, don't like."
The Fight or Flight place in my mind giving the same enhanced focus. Figure it's got to be healthier. When I played someone that I thought was on accelerant. Their shot making was perfect, the problem solving was inhibited. My first solution is don't let them back to the table. Second would be lock them up.

Testimony is not Testing and Moaning:
My physical therapy practice emphasis is enlightenment regards fine tuning my process.👍
Putting things in slow motion is both amusing and amazing.
As to the inquiry regarding my injury. It's on the left side, I'm all Right now 😉.

Days like today, I don't feel bad about the miss. Because the replacement of the cue ball is an aspect of the physical therapy.🤷
The mental assessment is always complete and thorough. Kind of like finding the fine gold.

Practice because even without a league season coming up or a tournament, I just enjoy playing pool.
10 minutes in, relaxed and focused on one thing.

Always playing with mates, so its a social event as well.

Nothing complicated about it.

Practice, therapy physical and mental. Factor of the therapeutic is the fun factor.
Some of the best players I have encountered came from a n environment where they had mates that they competed with.(ring Game?) The strength of the competition drove them (pretty damn good would be their rating).😉

Confident factor is huge. (HUGE as in Pretty Woman). Fake it was my earliest answer to that problem.

Wait for the ring finger is my biggest challenge.
The plan
The survey
The execution
Ring finger in charge can lead to the execution of extreme accuracy. First must feel good ......... it's an opportunity to Excel. Make the plan lay the foundation build the shoot ing platform. Wait for the ring finger to like it.
.. shoot the shot.

Playing with my friend: sounds better than self, even if the same.
Multiplicity is an all time favorite with me. So training the second hand. Has similarities 🤷

The multiple factor allow me to change the rules/challenge at any time.
Our friends ring game always allowed side bets. Which could be offered at any time. The most common was, "dollar no out". Simply fun.
Scotch Double s is another variation I use. Our Scotch mantra is, "I made Mine"🤷😉🤪

The evolution of the 3 ball template to break pad, has me cutting the corner off for a 6 sided puck that can and often does fly with the ball. Giving me a chance for a game variation of next shot from pad, where ever that might be.
It also gives me a reading on the accuracy of the strike.

Mr. Rogers
Wayne's World
Bill Nye the Science Guy
My practice.🤪
🤷
Oops don't forget the. PBS yoga!

And don't forget the therapeutic, physical and mental.

If they are whiney about my Slow game, I am doing it right.👍
The complaint re Danny, was "he plays so slow". The problem was he played slow And never missed.🤷
My "Slow game" produced 13 games of 9 ball in 45 minutes. So if all you see is a difficult kick in that time might make it seem like forever.🤷

Feel a brag coming on. Just got affirmative from the sky. Rumbling thunder..........In baseball it was, "be a hitter." There will be a place for you on the field. Mr Herb taught me well and took it to heart. Which led to me being the best hitter in the class of '73 at USAFA.
Backward Jan taught the same theory. Be a shotmaker.
