Lefty found the Mental Fortitude and prevailing with the station closing 6.
Ali Carter looking to do the same and square the match at 4 each going to 6.
Friday November 10th, 2023: Cold morning with Ford Briwn Snooker Semi finals match for background.
Tackle is the "Thought of the Day". Well my smart phone says tackle because it corrected My typed TACKIE. GRRRR.
The picture shows the first estimate for 2 rails to the teal 2 ball. Oh yeah the Married one ball and whitey are Leftie's work. MAXIMUM!
6 service 14.
The finger warming station. Set up with warm beverage. And monitor on the Snooker. Very educational, wih the world class comments. Inspirational as well. As Yogi would say, "I can observe a lot by watching. "
Lefty closed station 2 with a 4 and tied the score at 17. Now 3 to the Black on the throne.
Is it weight training or wait training? Perhaps a little of both.
Station 1 and 2 provide check points for me in my program. In getting down on the shot I pass through the first 2 postures with a mental pause at each to confirm that's it.
Well That's it for Right and a 6 is sufficient to declare game set match. A pleasant workout.
Tacky is my method. The ring finger is strong enough to drive a tack. The rest of the dance is just the lead in.
Plan it
Build it
Execute it
The Whole E Trinity
So the wait is for the ring finger. It's worth the wait for me.
Whata way to start the day. Sunday Funday 11.12.23.
The China international snooker finals provide the background for the early morning workout.
Ford vs Zhang is an interesting study. 5- 5 going to 10. Zhang has produced a Maximum. Very interesting.
The long range precision put on display is inspiring. So a long range tetest for station 1.
The Wait/Weight work is a builders delight. So rewarding when Lefty hits for 2 on the second shot. Rights first effort was amusement in the "Just missed it by this much" category.
Station one is about refining the Robotics from the ground up. The dance should be the same as breathing.
Lefty lays in a 4 and looks at the door.....not yet 2 service 6.
Uh Oh Right throws a blank. 6 service 2. "I GOT IT" was Lefty's exclamation as the ball left the tip. It was fun but only one. 2 service 7. Oh gosh another blank, 7 serving 2. Lefty hits the 3 "that's enough for me" station 1 closed and Right serving 2-10 to Target 2 with 4 or more required to close the target.
2 service 15 after Lefty hits a hard 5.
3 to the purple 4 King ball is the picture with evidence of a sloppy 4 that shut the door on station 2. Right serving 2-19. YIKES
"WAIT! Wait wait" is the cry. Right with a objects to the Australian rule.
If you scratch it scores double. Lefty opens with 3 rails leaving the 4 over the pad for 4 points that get double for the white scratch in the side.
27-2 goes in the record books. Will be hard living with Lefty for a while.
11.13.23 Monday, funday ... Cold start ....well Right after coffee comes the stretch and flex. The Deep squat is a way to sneak in the physical fitness while focus is to establish the line from the target to the cue tip.Lefty was a little camera shy but still a 5 after the camera click after 10 second delay. 10 seconds is an interesting study. Right had dribbled in Little points and now trails 4-5. Lefty serves up another 5 to close the station. 4 service 10 going 2 rails to the dirt color solid.
The footing and balance with the linkage locked in to final position. (the end of the stroke with the thumb on the nipple.
Right came to play and opens the station with a 6. 10 to 10 could be a good place to close the station. Well with the fingers cold, close to the heater is first consideration.
Oh heck no! That's a 7. To you Lefty, 10 serving 11.
The Lay O the Day. Going to Target 2 the yeller 1 ball.
The cueball on the pad next to the purple stripe 12 is results of station 1. It provided significant reps for the physical therapist. Enough small points to yield a 12-11 lead to Right after closing with a 4.
The balance uh trick , is good therapy as well. Helps put me in tune with the centers. Using the exercise to fine tune the stance to least effort and best comfort.
The best part of the Therapy program, well other than tax deductible . Uh oh yeah Colaberation or uh co-operation between Lefty and the Right. Through the missed efforts I can dial in the next effort.
Play with it, is fine. As long as it's disciplined. Absolute adherence to the Dance is required. Any skipped step requires......go back to Go. Start over from the beginning. So Don says, "Don't be a Skipper!" (Hope Skippy is listening)
Lefty whittle out a 22-19 lead and closed Station 2 with an ugly 5. Oh well. Now the exploration looking for 3 rails to the king 15. Hmmm well very exploratory choice by Lefty.
Well the 3 railer was bait and the Right tried it and concluded the side pocket blocked 3 rails. Lefty says, "fine 4 through the back door is the shot. Scores! Great Set Match. 9 more puts the score over the top and out the door.
And that's a morning fitness workout. Don't forget the deep squats.

Their conversation reminds me of watching Efren in 1985. His rail first shooting was head and shoulders above the field in the pro tournaments. Well guess what.....Development of skills is required to keep up with change. Skills in every aspect of the game need to be developed.
Oh and then they started Jump shots......A skill Efren rarely used but I did see him execute the jump to perfect the only time I saw him jump. It was off the point of the corner pocket to escape the trap he had intended for his opponent. He accidentally shit a ball in as he executed the most incredible safety that had the cue ball in the Jaws and no way out with 3 balls in close proximity and blocking any escape.
