practice (video)

Nathan...I did not ask why you created a new screen name, and don't care (NOMB). Good instructors stress strong fundamentals first, because that then allows "playing advice" to be better able to be utilized. When someone posts a video that shows flaws in fundamentals, obviously we're going to address those issues first. When someone wishes to know how to play a particular shot/pattern they usually post a "how would you play this" thread. Maybe you should ask the right questions, before accusing someone of being defensive (Pot, meet Kettle!).

glad we cleared it up. Old username "nrhoades" was linked to "nrhoades@umassd.edu", which was deleted when I graduated. No way to reset/recover password or prove authenticity... needed to make a new account.

theres a difference between disrespecting your advice, and asking for more specific advice. I wasn't looking for stroke advice because that's the only advice instructors seem to give people on this forum. Was looking for a little bit more, that's all.

I gotta agree with Scott on this. He spent a day with me on my table and taught me a ton. He pointed out flaws in my fundamentals and also pointed out what I did well. I had never seen myself on video before but what I found out from my time with Scott was where I thought I had problems I actually did not and my weak areas were what I thought I did well. The fundamental help Scott worked on me with really helped my consistency, I am definitely pocketing balls better now but I still struggle on cue ball control and proper pattern choice. I seem to hook myself a lot, thats more likely to end a run out for me than a missed shot.
Thanks again Scott
I agree with a couple others that maybe you should try to slow it down a little to get a better picture of where you need to be. Looks to me like you shoot well.
