To me Ronnie is about as close to perfection at pool as I think anyone has ever been, I have heard and read so much about Walter Lindrum that I feel he must have been equally as amazing . While Hoppe was at a higher level than his contemporaries, In reality , I don't think he was at a pinnacle nearly as rare as those 2 achieved. When you see Ronnie hit a draw of follow shot from 8 feet away and no angle and the pocket is only a hair larger than the ball , you have to marvel at the accuracy. Especially with a full stroke on the ball. i am astounded.
I knew I had to of overlooked a reply. I concur and definitely yield to your researched and knowledgeable assessment.
The bold button is vexing me. Is it called add den dumb? Anyway "The Rest of the Story" is the cueball finish is just as impressive. He has edged Stephen Hendry but Shiley learned from Hendry, a thing or 2. I remember when Ronnie said it could be either. When asked, "which ball last." Stephen spoke for himself And Ronnie saying "the cueball ". Willie Hoppe taught look at the white As you hit it. Not hard to detect My bias. 😉 I do have a background object ball last and achieved Master label that way. I play me best now doing as Willie Stephen Ronnie....uh 3 some would be my "Dream Team".

Of course Efren definitely gets Pinch Hitter. The best under pressure hitter
I wonder why as we get older , we all start to suffer, from dangling participals, I have a near fatal case of it. But since I am aware of it, does that mean I am more or less, in better shape?

Yes , if I was in a terrible jam ,playing for my life, and I could pick someone to take my turn, It's Efren all day ,every day, especially if I could reward him in any fashion I wanted to. I would just say, Effie, he like it when I call him Effie, Effie, this shot, if you make it, you get 500,000.00, if you miss, your buddy {old whats his face{me} that's what he calls me , old whats his face, dies.} ok for the 500 gs , go get em lucky ! I might not even be sweating!

I consider it an form of artwork. The code requirement of keeping em guessing is my excuse. I guessing I might have decoded the code. 🤷‍♂️ could just be mumbling and stumble ing along. 😉

Almost forgot the link.
Didn't Leather Tuscaderos' little sister sing that?
Well that would be plagiarism by proxy...but I have no clue who's spirits was singing through me. 😉
Baseball was my first sport study. Hands on and through the bookmobile. Reading biographies of Baseball stars. Yogi is well has to be my favorite as I was an undersized catcher. But as Bob Lilly said, "it ain't the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog."
And of course as Yogi said, "Half the game is 80 percent mental." 🤷‍♂️

Wrong link but should be good. Trying to get Stephen Hendry and John Higgins conversation. It's a year old I can't remember it so Shirley must have overlooked it. Lots of good stuff if I can get the system to let me copy paste.
Huh no joy better reboot....

What do you eat before competition was a topic that hit home. My pre competition favorite was peanut butter honey sandwich. My theory was quick energy.
The coaches presence is interesting. His first solution when asked a question was "Practice ".
Made me feel uh? validation,,,,,

The total picture....well it's a moving picture.
Having the advantage of training in more sports than average. Well a year and a half of Cadet training and schooling had me with enough P E credits for a Major without any more. 🤷‍♂️
Lacrosse and Rugby and and don't forget boxing contrasted with Squash for intramural competition. It was required always unless of course you were intercollegiate. 🤷‍♂️ intercollegiate got you on training tables for the luxury of eating absent the basic training (hazing light) as we had to be weighed weekly to monitor the meal time interaction with the 3rd class cadets returning from summer leave after graduation from basic. The ones that barely made it often had an ax to grind or just share the pain. 🤷‍♂️

So Rugby competition along with lacrosse gave me the kind of self defense credits......You really don't want to test me. Stupid Fat Frrrrr Grrrr. Especially when I hold a stick. Rifle jousting was good training. Pugil stick trained.

Being Able to strike from Long Range is job 1. The jab.
Be a shot maker. My Colin's drill variation is a good starter.
So half workout budget for the Mule and the Sniper.

Waltzing around the table is the luxury of the home table. Morning fitness safety says stretch and flex first. Dance laps around the table. And Grouch O would insert, "table lap dance" with a cigar ash tap.
2 laps at least.
"It stopped being a hobby and became a job." Spoken by Stephen Hendry and Cole Dixon on different analysis occasions. Cole's by line was. It was no longer fun to do it to support the family. And of course he got into it because it was fun. 🤷‍♂️
