The cue lays on the pad and the first leg. The sun through the cracked door gives the opposite of what's needed. Backing it up to hit as close as possible to the corner pocket. Gives a good workout and rewarding to achieve. 😉 🤷‍♂️
 
The Method
Jiu-jitsu pool is what got me 2 games of 9 ball in the Bullhead league. After the match Craig complement of my method was rewards. 🤷‍♂️
Short bus short shape precisely is job one precision long shape is the later if and when I feel that I am "in stroke". Grandmaster stuff.
Keep it simple but precise. Early in the competition onjinxed valleys is dangerous, especially playing 9 ball. Yikes. So shots with safety built in for just in case. So I survived 🤷‍♂️.

Well it's my gym membership, which makes the equipment tax deductible. Right? 😉
The exer geni was an interesting Fitness device.
Isometric is more of my current stretch and flex.

My choice of pocket billiards as recreation is based on my theory that I can always learn more. Learning was and still is satisfying for me. 🤷‍♂️
Honest and accurate ass ses mint is a key to recovery. When I miss.....and even when I make the shot. So to provide an honest and accurate my attention needs to be on the parts that I control.
The course of the Mule provides endless data for the computer banks.
Experience on the praCtice table relates to but does not equate to competition.
Stubborn as a Mule is a foundation thought. The stance and posture for stability and power. The full squat is for the muscle tone.
The more stability in the foundation diminishes a key variable. Which can lead to tighter groups.

Sorry gotta brag: As a Cadet we had 2 trips to the rifle range for the M-16 at 100 yards open sights to a silhouette. 100 rounds total with equal from each position from prone to standing. 98 was required for The Badge. I got it first try. 🤷‍♂️
 
Habitual:
Habits are easier to make than break !
Should be the beginning mantra.
Building the habit as I rise from the chair. I try to emulate Ronnie.
Routine might not be as exciting as spinning or smacking the stuff out of the balls.
Posting this way gives me my refocus of the rising from the seat to survey the battle field, for each shot. The lead off position I trained for from 8 years old. 🤷‍♂️
 
After competition I can remember only the handshake in the victory. I can precisely remember the miss in the losers. 🤷‍♂️ At least I have the data. 🤷‍♂️
 
I can understand the inquiring mind wanting to know......l want to know how the white rock is rotating at colision. A large factor in the equation.

The Challenge-O the day is using left hand spin to get the white to open off the first rail. With the second cueball so close to the foul. Makes the observation of the tip/ball interaction educational. My observation yields interesting sights. The vibration of the tip as whitey parts is a sign that I am focused. My focus can adjust with white movement and the interaction of it with the object ball can be as vivid. 🤷‍♂️
The side study is squirt and deflection.
 
Changes in conditions: Got a good wash last night. As the thunder emphasis of the power. Had both dogs in my lap as I lounged in my Captains chair. 🤷‍♂️

Challenge is 4 rails to the teal 10 adjacent the cue. Gives a good opportunity for observation. The variation in patern as the target on the white is adjusted. The mechanical needs to be sound. Hence the reps. Full to the ground exer geni basic. 🤷‍♂️
OK found the 4 rails to the back door and stayed on the pad for 6 more to the Right hand.
3 to the king 11 ball is the last station of this fitness program. Stretching and flexing the whole way. Ah the therapy.

Sorry I can't help but chucklin at the political clown show......OMG prepare for the trial ......
I truly learned the "be careful " long ago.
Anyway the 3 to the king proved simple and complete the morning stretch. Shrug 🤷‍♂️

Some times Ronnie the Rocket takes a little more time. Sometimes in Survey, sometimes in Analysis and even sometimes in the Mechanical.

Rail first shots start with a formula. Billiards As It Should Be Played by Hoppe is required study. The formulas are only starting points as speed and spin can change the angles.....a lot. Shrug

Startin with 1 rail 1 handed to the purple 4, then 2 rails with a bridge and upright to the red stripe 11ball. The cue lays on the launch pad and first leg of 3 rails to the king 15 ball. Right hits the Maximum to come from behind to snatch the victory. Off We Go into the Wild Blue Yonder....

Playing league my opponent playing a safety left me something similar to the picture. I had missed my key ball (the stripe)with the 8 ball un missable from that end of the table. My miss had left him difficult but.....he chose the safety.
I felt like uh?....Brer Rabbit in the briar patch. 🤷‍♂️

End end side near the pocket is the challenge. Provides opportunity to study. My study shows that I get the best results when focused on the precision of the strike to the white. The hard part, well fun part is figuring out where and how hard.
 
Lefty got it first! Finishing the challenge with a 6.
Too early to hang up the stick, so 9 ball it is. Sunday Funday. 🤷‍♂️

Ah yes! Sunday! Funny how my routine has evolved to inspection of the tip before measured application. Removing the chalk from pocket is done as inspection is conducted. Poised and ready is part of the dance. Touching the tip is optional, as needed. 🤷‍♂️
Keeping my focus on the application is definitely where I differ with the majority. The image of absent minded Chalking as survey of the table is conducted comes to mind. I prefer to chalk first then survey. Giving each the attention they deserve......I 🤔 😉
 
I said, "I prefer not spinning my ball". I didn't say I couldn't or wouldn't, if needed. 🤷‍♂️

The cueball marriage in front of the side is target 1. The marriage mid table is the result of target 2 challenge. A maximum. 🤷‍♂️ the cue lays on the first leg. The difficulty factor was the cueball started where the butt of the cue lays. Jacked up....the proverbial up hill, both ways. 😉
Chop sticks is the thought o the morning. The dexterity of the fingers pays dividends. Thanks for the piano lessons Mom. 😉 didn't much like em at the time. At that age hunting Frogs was my choice for an hour a day. Starting with the scales....up and down the rails....check out the rotation influence. 🤷‍♂️ could find a skill playing the scales.
