Going at it as a fitness program?
Yes My training as a Cadet provided the physical fitness credits in a year and a half.
An hour in the morning before work?
Sure! My start was an hour in the morning After working graveyard.
The Mental coaching I got from David Rhoades out of Portland was.....The Big Eye er uh I as in imagination. First imagine the shot. Pretty simple stuff. when down on the shot and the image doesn't quite fit? Get Up! Start over simple stuff.
Have Fun with the form work.
Setting the camera to 10 seconds and shoot.
Just like running laps. The 10 second drill.
Push the button and follow the formula.
1 survey
2 inspect
3 plan
4 set the platform
Easy enough to delete pictures when done.
Starting slow then find the speed that provides the best results.
Cardiovascular time. Gotta go.
Didn't take long to get to pull the trigger at the camera click.
The Z is the shot I am set for above.
The Z is powerful. At the White Spot, er uh Right Spot in Fife, The Z was Zimmerman. His name appeared more often in the archives of the weekly $5 nine ball tournament.
So there you go. Sometimes I too get lucky.
Practice Practice Practice
Sunday funday has me playing Whacky 9 ball. Shooting the object ball at the cueball to pocket object balls. If whitey scratches it goes back on the center spot. It's a game I stumbled upon in Bellevue back in the 80s. Every Saturday afternoon. A ring game with 5 participants. They had been doing it for a long time and had stories of the time Billy Bob ran a rack. A dollar a game made it impossible to lose any money. It did give me the chance to play funny and make a little money.
I drew the scorn of the regular crew when I went after the money....Every shot! I was getting enough turns. I guess they thought I was disrespectful to the sacredness of the game. Shrug sure was Fun.
The official name was Whackey 9 Ball. The colloquial name was Whacking Off.
Keep it simple silly.
The stick and Balls illustrate the baby step. Executed to perfection.
Don't forget the stretch and flex. Spreading my wings. I used to have a reverse swan on the low dive board.
So now 2 to the orange uh orange 5 ball. The Orangutans l want to know? Ooops hang up now Grampa.
Put it all together and hold the cue like a feather.
Do the dance Around the table all the while stick at full extension and balanced on the ring and middle finger s. Always start with the slow waltz.
The final 3 rails to the black king ball is as simple as a 3 railer gets. My game plan would resemble what I see in snooker. Making sure that I only change 1 variable at a time. The educational value now. So close observation of the tips intimate interaction with the white is as rewarding as...?... porn? Well those moments of ah hah are fun.
Direction
Speed
Spin
Are the 3 variables I computer. Setting them in that order. So spin is the first adjustment..well in tandem with speed....so oh well. Spin/Speed being married takes me to 2 variables....? Right?
Good morning Friday 10.11.24
Starting to feel the chill in the morning.
Retro day no uh refresh day. Back to the phenolic tip break cue with No chalk. Still inspect and mime the application delicately. Then give the same attention to the application of the tip to whitey. It needs the precise to avoid the clank of the shanked ball.
The flying Dutchman? The simple is a good place to start.
The 2 rails to the purple ball presents different shots for the 2 hands.
The top image is the right hand. The bottom is Lefty hamming it up over first to score. Well on that target .
The yellow pad near the tip is launch and white adjacent the king 15 is the result of first throw. Just short but close enough to close the show. Chores call and new sidekick is acclimating.
Storm is upon us. Sure glad I got the car covered.
Thought o the day is proofed In putting. Station 1 result is a 7 with white on the pad while the yellow 1 ball remains in the hole. Oh so close to the kiss. Now have a problem because I don't remember which hand shot it. We will just move on to the 2 rails to the teal 2 ball. The z bank that Efren demonstrated in competition.
Good Saturday morning. Milo is really Bouncer reincarnated. Buster is camera shy, our Radar.
Bouncer lived with Grandma Oops I mean Bong Gong. and the twins 5 years my senior. The winter we got 4 feet of snow he could walk over the 4 foot fence. So with the gradual melt by the spring he could jump the fence.
Milo likes us! Whoopee.
So anyway the small bite starts with a simple 1 rail kick. One handed of course.
The change is upon us with the ac putting out heat. Leads me back to the warm coffee cup....I am thinking of working the wet saw in Spokane on a tilt up job site January ish. Heck this is balmy. 52'
A study in slight influence depending on the accuracy of the strike Through the white. 2 rails to the purple 4 with a bridge but standing upright.
Almost forgot....Oops did it again.
Oh yeah the race can be short. I have senior status which allows me to make it a race to 5 at target 1 to get to the good fun.
Lefty gets the trophy photo for a Maximum.
3 rails
3 for kiss
5 for ball in king hole
1 for white over pad.
Catching the side just before the pocket, got Er done.
