Practice what I Preach

The middle finger tap.....I prefer the ring finger as the middle is the f*** you finger. The ring finger is the commitment finger. 🤷‍♂️

Well the hug at completion triggered my memory banks. 😉
It was a $5 weekly tournament and I stumbled and fell, metaphor ick Lee. Lost to a beginner and was down on self but put out the hand for a sincer congratulations handshake. He stepped inside my extended arm.AND GAVE ME A HUG!
It really did help me to, uh get over it. 🤷‍♂️ and a hug. 😉

The importance of the break in all bar box games.....makes it worth practice.
My practice gave me a 9 ball break in a race to 2 on 7 foot Diamond. My opponent was John Schmidt and he gave me the cold hard poker face stare. To estimate the portion value of luck and of course knowing tendencies and averages. You know the Egg Head chicken and Fog Horn Leghorn. I couldn't do 2 but won anyway. 🤷‍♂️ I knew the odds were long but I was playing a World Champion.
How ya gonna know if.....
Shaun must regret his last choice of safety over balls to the wall full throttle.
I would rather go down swinging than ducking. 😉 shrug.
Practice Practice practice

Found My break (on this table).

The triangle launch pad sits on head spot. Break to template rack. Made a ball and 1 to 9 billiard available. Sure do practice billiards.
Yep got it. We should quit now. Right?
NO!
DO IT AGAIN. and again over and over.

Good Morning Monday May 11 202*sumptin.
Numbers used for calibration
Well ratings and used to handicap or develop classes. I can't remember the letter they put on the Spokane 9 ball big table event. 🤔 musta been C or maybe D? Nah musta been C. Largest money win in tournament play 700 plus side pot at 190. Hmmm full field at 64. Race to.....Can't remember. I only remember the final 9 ball. It was conceded but I shot it anyway. I had to shoot it for Myself. It was not a hanger. Just medium range basic.
So where was I? 🤔
Still coming back to stand up for what's right.
Sermon alert 😉
Last week's league event provided the opportunity to stand up to the Bully. Period. Something I learned at 6 years and onward all my life well to 74.623 years and counting.
Looking the giant at 300+ lbs and tall too. (Up hill both ways kinda situation) square in the eyes and say clearly and concise "Fu** You". Not loud or shrill. Just clear and concise. Then the show was on.
Long story short
we crushed in the match
he went away
Playing pool is what we came for. He was set on making a sh*t show. Well he was going to sit 4 feet from the pool table and of course he had a practiced routine of shark moves.
I abhore shark moves and will respond in a Religious fashion. Period.
I initiated the dance after I witnessed his distraction of my soft spoken team mate. I simply nicely asked him to move for my shot. Of course he would move , with a friendly smile. My Sarcasm Sword has been refined by life's lessons and hanging with the Big Boys. So I proceeded with the 🤺 quick little verbal jabs. Uh regarding how nice of him ....
Don't sword fight with Zorro, well my wife is better with words than me. She stayed background until the F bomb dropped. So in the tavern at 8 in the evening she intercede with, "there could be children. You can't say the F word." .....Well okay I won't say it again. I see your point. 😉
I stayed and played he led away in a rage condition.
Okay the 🤷‍♂️ shrug.

Well Sh*t still feeling religious.
Good morning again. Stand Up
Stand up to Bullies
Well my prescribed t-shirt has a Tiger on the front. And a departing jack rabbit on the back. 🤷‍♂️
Gotta have The gear or is it gears.
First and foremost is finding Balance.

First you gotta get out of the Cradle. Lefty just made shot #4 from the Cradle. Makes the score 3-1 Lefty, go Lefty Go! Am I Right? 😉

Well an hour and a half to run the 16 shots of The Chase, one handed, phenolic tip.
An interesting morning workout that finished in a tie Lefty vs Right and 8 to 8.
Hmm time for breakfast.
Edit: Oh yeah, From the Cradled grip too.

Oh Boy, Monday May 18 2026
Well....the APA Vegas Event was a success.
We Had an Adventure
Is definitely the title . The short range version of the 4 day road trip from Tacom to Lake Tahoe. In the snow. An awesome tournament, musta been 84. Hose A Parica and Dan Louie provided the highlights memories.
Better believe I studied the whole damn tournament. Oh so many top players. The 9 ball races that moved to Reno became our vacation. With multiple transportation options. Heck one year I hitch hiked. 🤷‍♂️ Well not literally but back in the day I did it and beat the bus that carried My Girl. 🤷‍♂️ 😉

Tennessee Tarzan hit the Shot of the Tournament. A shot that Robert Byrne diagrams in his book.
Oh yeah my performance was adequate. The team was uh? Dis jointed. The wife was in charge of relationships. I am a conscientious object to the rules. However, if themselves the rules, i accept. My participation in the APA is to support My Wife's (of since 78? 🤷‍♂️) interest in playing with the children. As that seems to be a good cause. So I, well We endeavor to havemmm er uh fun.
Being forced to confirm a foul call on my less than honorable team mate was hopefully a lesson to said team mate and she can still, Grow Up.
The, well My Wife does the talk And I do the walk. And when it's time to Runn, with her I strive to keep Up. You know the OH DEAR joke, right?
"No Deer, ass to high, run too fast."
Piss her off and see. 🤷‍♂️ Righteous anger is every bit as strong as fear.
The fear factor got me my victories in my weight class handicap battles that were close.
The First shot is critical in a fight on the fields of friendly strife.
The A one short attention practice is 3 ball break and then kick them in. An easy quick way to get some fitness reps in.
Follow the routine by making it a dance. Like a Waltz.

Well I just took the survey and am exhausted. 😉
I was on a run of one. Opened the morning Chase with an Ace.
One handed phenolic tip no chalk is a centerball finder.
