I was in World Class Billiards earlier today and Paul Costaine, co-owner of Predator, was there. He is a great guy, very nice and really wants feedback from the players, pro and regular Joe alike. He was testing the Bk III, all carbon fiber, looked awesome. He also had with him 2 prototype 3c cues. A plain red stained pj and black with inlays, both had the new rubber grip , it was very soft and really squishy with a great subtle texture, really felt great, they both had the new adjustable weight system and new predator laminated 3c shafts with small 1/4-1/2 inch ferrules. I played with the red cue for awhile and was really impressed with it, great hit, very stiff, good feedback and great balance. They are coming out in Kore very soon and in the us in a year or so.I tried to get him to leave it with me for extended review, but no luck. I'll have to wait like everyone else, unless you know someone in Korea ......

Very smart of Predator. They know like Diamond knows that caroms is making a resurgence. Why not make carom cues and offer laminated shafts?

Ok TJDave,

I'll bite. Why do you think that Predator and Diamond are entering the carom market?

Well... Slick Willie's in Katy shrunk back and gave up space to a Sports bar that was opening next door... losing nine pool tables...

Meanwhile... Three rooms in Houston installed a total of 13 ten foot heated Gabriels carom tables and another room got three of those new nine foot Diamond carom tables. That's about a hundred grand's worth of slate!

Pool in the area -- minus nine. Billiards -- plus sixteen. Just an anecdote. Nothing to be concerned about. Move along. These are not the droids you are looking for.
