branpureza said:just dont cut the original phenolic tip all the way off, you are supposed to leave like 1/8th of an inch of it on top of the ferrule.

also the ferrule issue was in regards to the 314-2 and z-2 shafts and was due to a bad glue batch or machining issue or something. there was a recall issued like a year ago and supposidly is no longer an issue as they even removed the detailed information from thier website....

2. i have two bk2 shafts that have stress marks in the finish. They look kinsa like fine curvey lines or cracks. I sent them in and pedator said it is not in the wood so its not covered. it will not affect playing. (i can feel it when i take practice stroke and it bothers me!) the stress marks start at the joint and continue about 4 inches up the shaft.
A friend of mine had a predator playing cue worth about 800 dollars and it was leaning against the pooltable and kinda slid down the edge and hit the carpeted floor and the butt of the stick broke in HALF ! I saw it with my own eyes and of course predator said no way that could happen.
I like predator products but i dont think the quality control is there.
