Has anyone tried both of these break sticks? comments/opinions on them?

i've tried a vx2.9 and liked it. good control, lots of bang for the buck at under $200.

re: break stick

actually had both at the same time..did have to change the tip on the poison, to brittle broke while playing. after changing it to a G-11 it hit good also added a little weight to it. just be careful of the poison the pins dont go in the wood very far..twisted one in two{playing stick}

break stix

yes just snapped off...hit the cue and the tip shot off on the poison its a one piece tip but looks like two..also I do hit the balls pretty hard thats the reason i cant use my BK2 cant keep the ball on the table like my sledgehammer (but really liked a mezz a buddy of mine had. made 8 balls on a eight ball rack and 4-5 consistently on nine racks with it ) I know if I took a little off the break I could keep the ball on the table. but it seemsz easier to buy a stick that fits the way I play than to adjust the way I play to the stick...to old to change now

if the cue is coming off the table, sounds like you are getting the back of the stick up when using the bk2.

off the table

sounds sensible could be why i hit the sledgehammer better its shorter than the BK2 also is the reason I am looking @ the Mezz PB II (54 inches)

elove,

since you had both, how would you compare the two? i figured since poison is made by predator, they may be similar.

poison v bk2

poison really isn't made by predator its farmed out just marketed by them....as far as hittin them it really depended on the night....but if i had to choose between the 2 for only one stick to put in my case probably the poison....nothin to do with it being cheaper but solely based on performance

poison cues

1-888-314-4111 is predator groups number they are located in Jacksonville Florida call them and ask for Neil he can tell you more than I can..But it is my understanding that the only cues they actually make anymore is in conjunction with Pechuar, jacoby and so forth.also these are the only US made cues. So I am told

Tip

I have the poison bk/jp and my tip came off three times, the phenolic type. NanceyWayne the guy I bought it from set it back to the mfg the last time. Haven’t had a problem since. It's been about 18 months now.

As for their performance, excellent. I use to have a McDermott bk/jp, poison is far superior.

My best mate, teammate and fellow AZer djpstacked has the Poison J/B and he's very happy with it. I really like it as a jumper but can't really form an opinion on how it breaks, I've only used it two or three times.
