Predator BK2 with Samsara Tip

Does anyone have this setup? Any feedback? I just realized that it's illegal to use phenolic tip on BCA league, so I'm thinking if I should change my BK2 tip to samsara or just get a Mezz PB2.
 
I still laugh every time someone mentions the phenolics being outlawed.....

Have an authorized repair center do the tip replacement or you risk voiding any warranty... I know Joe Blackburn is authorized to do repairs.. If you need a number for him I can likely come up with it... He is in Bristol TN so you may find someone closer....

I just find great humor in the fact they just outlaw phenolic across the board... They would be better served using a durometer reading...

The samsara seems to be just a completely epoxy saturated leather tip.... I would almost bet that in hardness there would be certain phenolics that might actually be the same or less on the rockwell scale....
 
I have this same setup on my BK2 and its works very nice for me. Hope this helps.

A while back when I ordered my BK2, I ordered it direct from Predator with a non-phenolic tip. Don't remember what kind of tip was used but it's still on there.

It works great with a Samsara. The Tiger J/B tip is awesome too.
