Predator CONFIRMS revo 12.9 has LOWER deflection than 12.4 !!!

The 12.9 was much stiffer and I just like the taper better on the 12.4 . The 12.4 I have also has the white ferrule tip which I think for some reason I Missed And didn’t realize.
I would say it is as well. I just like how carbon fiber hits and feels and your answer is exactly what I tell people who ask is it better. That’s personal. If you hit with it and think it hits better then wood your not wrong. If you hit with it and you think wood hits better your also not wrong lol

i received an email from predator (i had sent an email plus called)
it was the same email the op shows from kim newsome
stating the 12.9 has the lowest deflection and the 12,4 is the best seller with no mention of the 11.8
i sent another email specifically asking about the 11.8

If i go back and play with my classic Jensen w/ivory ferrules i have to COMPLETELY change the way i shoot. Nothing 'over-hyped' about lo-deflection shafts. Shots that are no-brainers with my Mezz lo-defl. wood or CF Rhino would be complete miss with the old-school shafts. That thing squirts the CB WAY off-line. Can't believe i used to play with this stuff.
I just talked to Newsome and i'm sorry folks but she has no clue what deflection is. She tried to tell me that the Vantage had least deflection in their wood shafts. Wrong, its the Z3. When i pointed what was printed on their own website she got all defensive. She then tried to tell me that the 12.9Revo was more accurate because it was bigger. Tried to also say that smaller tips deflect more. She has no idea what deflection really is, what causes it or how their own shafts even work. Pretty bad when their own "customer service" people don't understand their own products.

After reading this thread but not wanting to chip in on this complex issue in case I'm wrong, I decided to do an experiment. I hit the same shot with a 13.5 wooden shaft and a 12.2 carbon shaft. I missed the pocket by half and inch with the wood and 0.6 of an inch with the carbon. Confirmed then, wood is lower deflection than carbon.
WTF?? I don't believe one word of what you're trying to say. Material DOES NOT MATTER, its endmass that causes squirt. No way a 13.5maple shaft deflects less than a 12.2 carbon.

she doesn't have a clue what deflection is or how a low-defl. shaft even works. i could tell that based on her answers to some pretty simple questions. as for the thicker walled tubes, they would still most likely have less overall mass thus lower deflection. what she's trying to tell their owners/potential buyers is bullshit.
no. what she tried to say is that the 12.9 is MORE ACCURATE simply because its bigger. also said that smaller shafts(regardless of material) squirt more. she has tip-offset/english confused with deflection. i know people that have checked with Pred. on the Revo and were told that the 12.9 was stiffest/most powerful and the 12.4 had least deflection. mind you this was before the 11.8 came out. their own site says the 11.8Revo is their 'most accurate' cf shaft. Their whole cust.serv. staff needs to go to school.
Saw a what's in the bag with Joshua Filler. Couple interesting items.
First but not related to this thread is that his 58 inch playing cue weighs 16.6 ounces.
Second, more related is regarding his going to carbon. He said that his 12.4 has the same deflection as his Z3. I believe he also said it's modified by predator to make that number, the ones you buy aren't.

With carbons lighter weight i would bet that the 12.4 and the Z3 are in a dead-heat squirt wise. Just a WAG but they probably took out some foam to get mass/defl. lower. Possible they thinned the tube but i doubt it. Saw that vid. That is one LIGHT cue.
She got really defensive when i back'd her into a corner. She really needs someone to explain how this stuff works.

100% agree about Kim Newsome, she doesnt fully know the products she represents & when even slighly challenged gives off a pissy attitude. .
I had a issue With the pie seperating with a z2 not to long ago , and had unfortunately received Kim Newsome as the rep that responded to my issue.
She said the shaft must of been over cleaned or abused, because the pies dont typically seperate. I babied that shaft from the day I bought it , that shaft has won me thousands ,so yeah I got my moneys worth ,but still c'mon, 1st time I have a issue, I automatically get accused of misuse/improper cleaning.

Anything to avoid that limited lifetime warranty clause was the impression I got.
