Couple of pairs of knipex Cobra pliers would get it right off, but would probably leave marks. Knipex also makes soft grip pliers for plumber use. Absolutely the best pliers brand out there. But you won't like the price. Think a pair of 10" soft grips will cost you around $60.

(edit) Maybe a couple of pairs of Channel locks used over thick rubber (inner tube rubber) wrapped around the cue might work without marring the cue. Do you have a car guy friend with a good tool collection? I've got tools in my rollaway I'm sure would work.

...then set the adapter into the butt with blue Locktite. It will still come out with the allen wrench if you want to change the weight bolts or back to the original bumper. Most brands with the optional extension have the same problem - Predator, Cuetec. I had the same problem with my Schons.

Thick leather or radiator hose and some pliers. If you squeeze too hard you can pinch through whatever you're using and damage the threads, so go easy on it.

Not sure what I’m looking at, never used an extension. If the extension itself is stuck I like the strap wrench idea. If the bolt from the extension is stuck in the butt cap just use the two nut method to remove it.,

It looks like when he tried to remove the extension it took the buttcap with it.

A couple of options: 1. get a pair of cannon plug pliers (used on connectors in the aircraft industry) Google shows several examples - not expensive. They have replaceable plastic jaws. 2. wrap several turns of duct tape or a piece of rubber fuel line around the threads to protect them and use pliers.

Maybe a pair of pliers on that bumper could loosen it. Your probably going to destroy the $30 bump, but it’s cheaper then the $100 extension

Put some blue locktite on the bumper threads, then re-insert the extension/bumper, let sit 24 hrs and then try to separate......if it works....do not tighten it so tight next time, also clean the insert and threads every month or so

It looks like the bumper unthreaded from the cue and is stuck in the extension?
You can't use a hex wrench because the the extension pin blocks access? Get (2) M16 x 1.5 nuts and thread them half way onto the bumper stem until they jam. Apply a wrench to the first one that you put on and remove the bumper from the extension.

These can get stuck, but it's usually enough to hold the bumper in one hand and the extension in the other hand and give a quick twist. If you can't get a good grip, wear gloves. They're not as snug as you initially think.

I'm not familiar with the threads, are they metal, or plastic as one post said?
