Predator IKON cues

Hi.
I want to buy a Predator Ikon cue.
I'd like know whether there are any differences between models Ikon1, Ikon2, etc besides the design. My funds are rather limited and I don't realy care that much about beauty of the cue. A friend of mine told me, that higher models of Ikon are somehow better, he just couldn't tell how. And I was not able to find the definitive answer on the web. So please, help! :-)
 
All IKON cues are built the same (C4 Tech). The differnce in prices from IKON 1-9 is purely due to aesthetics
 
I would doubt there would be much difference between a Ikon1 and a Ikon8 construction wise. How much $$ do these cues go for??

If you're on a tight budget, look for any model in the 5K series. It is the predecessor to the IKON and is also built with the C4 technology. You can probably find a great deal on a 5K if you look hard enough.

Ikon 7

I have a IKON 7 and it is a hot looking and great playing cue!

As per my knowledge the ikon 1 and ikon 3 have stained maple forearms and ikon 3 have holy wood points.Also ikon series a leather luxe wrap and 5k comes with linen.Above ikon 8 they have ebony forearms.
There is only a cosmetic differnce between ikon1 and 2

The predecessor to ikon i.e. 5k1 and 5k3. The 5k1 had a stained maple forearm,however the 5k3 had a gaboon ebony forearm.

Out of all if i would choose than it would be 5k3-best value for money if you can get one.

I would also consider a p2 here.

Even a Predator sneaky which ismuch less.

I have a Predator SP and love it, and I've played with a P2 and an Ikon owned by others and I can't tell a difference in the way they play.
