I too have been a Predator fanboy since the late 90s. But shafts only. I thought almost all of their butts were gaudy and ugly as sin. Their plain-jane ones and sneaky petes were the only ones I liked.

Same here. These, and the BKRush are the only Predator butts I have owned/liked.

HA! I think I had the same ones. But older. I had a sneaky pete that was 5/16-14, and I think the 99-1 (*edit, I think 2k-1) which was also a 5/16-14 version of the all black plain jane you showed.

Those are cool, but I find the sporty ones with the giant Predator logos to be awful looking

All of this probably means that they are going to come out with "special/limited" sneakies with the same woods they used like 10 years ago. I bet they will also be $1200 plus.

Yeah I have one of those white and black for $500 with a revo shaft I couldn’t turn it down

The rest of their "products" are just rebranded stuff, mostly with jacked up prices.

No. They've made full cues since almost the very beginning. Maybe the second year after the shafts came out the full cues came out. They had different manufacturing partners over the years, but the designs came from Predator.

They are a big company making thousands of cues and in fact did change the pool world. Can't do that in a basement. Predator started with 2 guys like other cuemakers, but they decided from the beginning to go BIG, and they did.

Yes I understand all that. But they are an OEM model, not ODM. They designed their whole line. Then they had manufacture's make it. It's like that in lots of industries.

They are not a "marketing company" that goes to manufacture XYZ and says "bring me something that my customers will buy in 3 weeks" without being intimately involved in the design process. That is the ODM model.

Even for the tables they got into recently, Predator was involved closely with the design and making it their own table, not just sticking their cat logo on the existing SAM table.

Yes, it is. They design it. They prototype it. The refine it. Over years. They then contract with Foxconn to build it. Foxconn is the contract manufacturer. But everyone says it's made by Apple.
