CSI is still on the list of sponsors, but the main US Pro Billiard Series logo no longer contains the CSI letters, just Predator. I wonder if this reflects a change in the relationship or degree of sponsorship between CSI and Predator for these events.

Hmmm.... I had missed the fact that the Pro Billiard Series is not using the WPA rules for 10-ball.

What am I missing here? Didn't look like he touched the 10 ball.

The ref was pretty close and the player did not object. I'd guess that he did touch the 10.
That was my first thought as well. But looking at the video over and over again, the 10 doesn't move a whisker.

It also seemed like the call was made behind the ref, since both Choudhary and the ref turned in unison after he shot it. So maybe a shot clock violation?

Yes, I think it was a clock violation. But maybe it was a fitting ending to quite a miserable match. Successful breaks numbered two, B&Rs numbered zero, fouls and missed shots numbered about 30  in 9 games, and average minutes per game were a bit over 8½. Pagulayan's breaking tactic (practically a safety break but with a chance of making the 1-ball in the side) certainly worked, winning all 7 games in which he broke, but I wonder if he will continue with it against top players.

Interesting that Chezka lost her first matching in straight sets (to Nina Torvund), despite coming fresh off her World 10-ball Championship.

I watched that match in-person. Chezka looked a little unfocused and wasn't getting many rolls. That said, Nina played well. I was a bit surprised to see her relatively low fargo.

Anything can happen in short races.
