I have a 1st gen 314 shaft. I was told they don't make a ferrule for this cue anymore.

what ferrule can be used for the 1st gen 314?

what ferrule for a 314-2?

Predator never ever made ferrules that were sold to the public. You've always had to make your own.

There is an exception to what Dick said.
Cms & Tecs affiliated with the Predator Repair Network receive ferrules directly from Predator.
Unfortunately, what the OP stated about Gen1 ferrules being no longer available is true.
It wouldn't take much to make a ferrule that's better than the Gen1s were.

'Isoplast' is the term I've always heard when describing this mtrl.
Now, just what is isoplast? I have no idea other than it's a form of plastic.
My guess is that it's what was available and what worked at that time. It met the criteria.
However, Predator, like any good company with a good product, is constantly evolving.
I'm sure that the Gen1 ferrules were high on the list for areas to look at for improvement.
This does present a problem for replacements on an otherwise good shaft though.
The Gen1 and the Gen2 ferrules are not interchangeable. The tenon dimensions are different.
Not just in length but in diameter as well.
I only have 1 or 2 Gen1 ferrules left. When those are gone I'll be looking at Titan or Juma to make replacements from.
