No LD shaft feels like a one-piece cue. The butts themselves are solid and fairly well-made. The Uniloc joints are alright. A big pin, flat-faced sneaky feels closer to a house cue but it is really all personal preference.

I play with an older Roadline with a black forearm paired with a Revo shaft and I like the combination a lot. I tried the Revo on a bunch of butts, none of which felt solid except for the P3 and the Roadline.

I also like the position of the wrap, because it is where my hand actually grips the cue 90% of the time.

Lastly, mine has sharp, even points and clean veneers.

Re:Predator Roadline

Never owned a Roadline cue but they look (in pictures) very well made...by whoever makes them. Appears similar/equal to Mezz maybe. Have owned and still have many custom and mass produced cues and found little difference either way among the top echelon of any with regards to playability. No contest in resale though.

They do look well made and the finish looks great. Its a lot of cue, from my own experience these cues hold their value quite well if taken care of. I am not crazy about the joint.

The Predator Roadline series is the least expensive line of Predator cues available, and their most popular selling cue, and they look extremely nice. I believe they come with a 314-3 shaft, and you can upgrade to a Z3 shaft, for a higher upgrade price to a Vantage shaft, or for around another $200 I think you can upgrade to a Revo shaft, although you might have to wait as they are currently backordered on all Revo shafts. I'm currently using a Roadline butt with a Revo shaft, and I love it!

I've had several Predators. The Roadline with the Uniloc joint is as good as any of them You can't go wrong. Well made, worth the money.

My buddy got one with a kamui med tip, I liked it a lot. It had a decent feel. Plus they look good.

I have an ebony nosed one, with orange veneers. It shoots excellent, I love it but I’m going back to Scruggs. I’m going to sell it with three 314-2 shafts and an ob2 shaft for $600.

I bought a new one to raffle at a pool room that went under before their first tournament
Wrapless with a 314-3 shaft.
Although I left it in the plastic it looked like a really good cue, the quality control at predator looks to be very good as well.
From the times I've played with 314 shafts on Predator cues, and from some feedback I received on the 314 -3, if that was the only cue I owned I would be in very good shape.

I’ve got a few Roadlines that I have played in several shaft combinations. For me personally, they have been really good, or really bad. One is my current player that I really enjoy, it’s one of the new new Roadliness, 8 point, Z3, no wrap, Uniloc. Plays great for me. Just feels good, .... and the worst - a pretty cue, the Roadline LE2. Very disappointing. I had been waiting to get one of there and when I did it was a huge disappointment. Radial pin. It felt cheap, hollow, I just never cared for it. Now it sits in a case. I take it out every so often just to see, to try with a new shaft, it still sucks, but it looks good. I generally don’t like the Uniloc, but it’s not bothering me much on the current player.
I think it would depend on your roadline. I have 3 others not mentioned that I like, but a couple of other cues that I would go to before I went to the other Roadlines. Try out a few see what you think.

One of my students plays with Roadline SP6 with Unilock and in my opinion these Predators really worth the money you spend. I like the construction, simple pure design and how the wrap lasts till the butt cap which is great for tall players - all for the playability. And I've tested my new full spliced butt I built for myself with the 314-2 shaft of this SP6 cue untill my shaft is ready for play. I can say out of several shafts I've tested my butt with, the combo with this 314 I liked the most. I like the hit very much and there are a few ingredients for such a hit and construction of the joint is one of them. Long story short it helped me to decide how to build the shaft for my own cue:wink:.

Since you mentioned roadline with radial pin I'm assuming you mean the new le-5 or le-6. I have the le-6 which is the purple heart one & it's a very solid & nice looking cue. I shoot with the revo shaft, so couldn't tell you the feel with any of the wooden shafts they offer.
