I have a predator pre cat 314 and I think it may have a small crack in the ferrule. How hard is it to replace the ferrule? What kind of ferrule, if possible to be replaced, should I replace it with? Will it still "hit" the same? Any input will be appreciated. I love this shaft please tell me she isn't firewood.
Thanks, Adam

turn the shaft while hitting a few balls.
as soon as you find a "sweet" spot on the shaft...

mark it with a Black Dot and call it a "Hybrid."

The best think you can do with it is.........take it to your local cue repair guy down the street and let him fix it. You have to wait until he gets a 12 pack under his belt though. That way when he replaces the ferrule he can take the tennon and everything off.....then he can tap you a hole in the shaft and epoxy a new tennon in it. Then she can be firewood.

Or better yet.....shave it down to a 9mm and use it as a break shaft.

Send it back to Predator and be done with it. You'll catch a break sooner or later.

Agreed, you really want to send that to Predator for repair. You'll get a shorter ferrule made from something else, but they really need to be the ones to change it

Thanks for the no brainer guys. I was just wondering if a local billiard pro shop could fix it but I got my answer. I'll just send it off to predator.
Thanks, Adam

Please follow up on their customer service....and warranty if there is any. Thanks.

Actually, you should call Predator like I did and find a repair shop that is an authorized Predator dealer. Hopefully, there is one near you, but if not send it back to Predator.
