The ebay seller is claiming this is a Predator shaft. Please check the pics. I know the butt is not Predator. he does not claim that. What do you guys think about the shaft? Could it possibly be a Predator?

I can not tell from the pics. I do know that when predator first started making shafts that the ferrules were longer than the ones that they currently make.

your safest bet would be to ask the seller for more close up pics of the shaft, if they say no and give you some bs story i would be inclined to pass

I had an original Predator, they didn't use lam. shafts, they stiffened the shaft with laquer, or something like that, it maybe a predator.

Wow interesting, I didn't know that. I know its real hard to tell from the picture, but I didn't think it looked pie laminated. Also true as Bells stated I thought the ferrule looked to long, but maybe it was doweled and replaced. Now on the other end the collar also appears to be shorter. What appears to be the logo, is way further from the collar then what I have seen. Maybe it is just a very old design that I am not familar with??

i have never seen one with the 314 (if thats what it says) printed that far away from the collar...

i would stay very far away from this one..

I don't know if it's predator or not, but I used to have one of the old 6 piece predators and the logo was about that far from the collar.

Wow...that looks wierd to me. I have had a bunch of old Predators, but I am like the other folks...never seen one with the marking that high up and the shaft doesn't LOOK like pie laminated, but better pics would help. I guess it could have been a Predator partial and they put the 314 that high on the collar...strange. Looks like a 5/16x18 pin.

Yes the cues are 5/16 by 18. Here are a couple of hand selected Butts from the same series. I do also include the original shafts which by the way are very nice. If any of you would like to make your own Palmer/Predator combo. I am sure you can purchase the Predator shaft from another AZer. Or if you just could use a couple of good looking inexpensive cues please PM me. $150 Delivered USA for both.

That's a new one on me...I bought a Predator shaft in '95 when Jim Tong started to sell them...I don't recall when they were very first produced but it wasn't too much before that...that one in the pic has to be fake...
