Predator SP2 Problem - Any Fixes?

What began as what appeared to be a small blister in the finish started to peel away. There is a blister on the opposite side that will probably begin to do the same. No idea what caused this.

Did you buy this cue new? It doesn't appear to be a Predator finish. It might have been refinished at some point prior, poorly at that.

refinish time. Cody Cash(PK Cues on FB) does great work at fair prices. He's in Wichita.

Two of my son's cues he got cheap from Philippines did this. One about as badly as your cue. Low price is usually just an illusion since the cost to fix the issued with cheaper products ends up being the same as getting a good quality thing in the first place.

When applying finish, you get a mechanical bond and/or a chemical bond. If the underlying coat is fresh you get the chemical bond. If not, you must rough the underlying finish in order to get a mechanical bond. It appears someone skipped that step.
