I can say that Predator's arms have reached out much further than any competitors. and in many countries the players do not have much to choose from other than Predator, taking in to account the security of genuine products. And another factor is that more than 95% pool players are amateur and do not have access to good information about other products yet. and they tend to buy Predator cues ALL THE TIME. at first sight, Predator have a nice name, a wide range of products to meet people's needs and budget, Predator cues are addictive in the way that they make pocketing balls easily due to LD. Gradually, LD becomes one of the most important criteria to judge whether a cue is good or not. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY WRONG. and people start to spread Predator cues with a thought "my friend have a hi-end cue, I must get one also?", and Predator sell some more.
Still, a large proportion of amateur players are still believing in it, so Predator still selling very well.
However, in my country, the trend is moving. since the 1st large shipment of Mezz cues arrived in Nov '11, people are experiencing the new thing in Mezz, and leaning towards Mezz, some of the best Pros here are playing with Mezz. And I can say without hesitation that Mezz is superior to Predator in every way.
