I recieved a Predator Z shaft yesterday from PoolDawg to find out that it's warped. Pooldawg will be sending me a new one out but they also told me that they recieved a bad lot and had to replace them all of them. Is predator's quality diminishing or is this common for a lot of shafts to be warped from the same stock?

Don't know if it is common, but my buddy ordered the same shaft last summer from them, and had problems with it being warped. They sent him a new one and the wood was all jacked up. He ended up sending both back.

I got my 314 2 from them a year ago and there was no problems. So it might just be with the lot of z shafts.

1 of 2 314-2 partial blank that i bought from Nielson Billiards in ebay also arrived wraped. Fortunately the my cue maker was sharp enough to pick out that error and Nielson Billiards replaced it immediately.

Maybe business is too good. I think it is a quality control problem.

They quality has gone way down. I had a 314 with the cat i played with for 4 years and it was great but it just wore down a little too thin so I bought a z2 and not long after the furrel broke .Predator fixed it but I had to pay shipping both ways.So then I buy a 5k Predator with a 3142 and a z2.Soon there after 3142 furrel breaks ,,same story they fixed it for free but had to pay shipping both ways again. So while my 3142 was being repaired I was shooting with the z and guess what??? You guessed it ,that damn furrel broke too.And here is the kicker ,,the 314 that they fixed has since broke AGAIN!! Somebody needs to tell the chinese kids to pay more attention on those 15 hour workdays ,,lol

I've bought 3 Z2 shafts in the last couple years and had no problems.

Recently bought a Z2 from seyberts and it was warped bad. somethin like .020. that doesnt seem like a lot but i promise it is. i sent it back and instead of sending me a new one they just fixed it. kinda disappointing.

I just received a Z-2 partial from platinumbilliards and it was warped .040. They're gonna send me another one as soon as they receive mine. Looks like it'll be tough to find a dead straight one:(

I have owned 2 314's and 1 3142, and they all after time get a slight roll. Very very slight nothing that effects the shooting integrity.

I can understand a slight roll developing over time, but to have a bad roll as soon as you get it makes me not trust that shaft.

I hear ya. My OB-1 (30") rolled straight until the day I sold it. Not I am going to buy a OB-2. Hopefully they hold up!
