Predator Z2 Availability

I have a guy putting a Z2 shaft on my cue. He has had the cue(butt) for over a year. He claims that he can't find/order/beg/borrow/etc a Predator Z2 blank (says he is an authorized predator dealer) and can't find one 'anywhere' even other dealers. Says they are all backordered. I want the shaft 30" long instead of standard 29".:confused:

My question is how legit is the Blank shaft availability story?

Is predator's demand outstripping it's ability to make more shafts??

Just curious, but I am getting a bit impatient on waiting.:rolleyes:

PS - I got a pre-made(29") Z2 for my other cue in 5 days last year while I was waiting on this one to be ordered, and custom fit.

It's not. There was a supply shortage back before christmas
due to the need to recall a bunch of shafts and replace the ones
that they got back due to the recall.

The recall was in Nov. 06 IIRC.

I haven't heard of any supply issues since early this year.
Sounds like you chose the wrong guy.

ps. www.seyberts.com is the biggest supplier in the US.
check with them.
 
I was kinda thinking the same thing, but haven't been paying attention to the pool news lately to recall such an issue. I do remember the recall and figured his lack of finding a shaft was just an excuse for not being on the ball.

He does have an OB-1 that would 'do the same thing'. :rolleyes:
 
Get your cue back and send it to me. I can have one matched to your cue in about a week to ten days. I am an authorized Predator dealer/repairman. I have all of the blanks in stock including Gen1 314, Z and Gen 2 314, Z, OB1, Tiger X, all ready for customization.
 
i ordered one from Seyberts a month ago, and got it in a couple of days! this guys jacking you around.............jeremy
 
Z2 30" shaft

I buy all my predator stuff form Joe at Nielsens billiards. In the past I was sent a Z2 30" with a 5/16 connector and I needed a uni-loc. I called and Joe sent me the right one that day and asked that I send the wrong one back in the same package as the new one. He included return postage. Everything I have every ordered from him came in less than a week.

He has 22 Z2's listed on his web page and some of those are the 30" ones.

BTW, testing shows that the OB-1 is better than the 314-2 or the older Z, but not better than the Z2 at more spin and less deflection.

btw, who did the tests that show the ob1 imparts more spin?
