Premier League Pool (PLP) 6-13 March2023, Leicester- Earl makes his debut !

I don't watch a lot of online pool, tho I try and keep up with the bigger tournaments here on AZB. I happened to have a little time last week when some of the matches were being played, and they were available on YouTube, so I checked it out a couple times. Worked well on my phone. I enjoyed what I watched, so I'm kind of curious about the negative comments about the stream here. The shorter races and round-robin format meant that we were going to see lots of matches, and all the players, rather than the standard bracket stuff.

I liked it. I hope they do it more frequently. (especially the YouTube part, heh)

For a free YouTube stream I like this event a lot, but the suggestions here would certainly make it better. I had the stream on in the background all day which was probably the best way to "watch" this event. But even my attention span waned and I lost track of the days eventually and didn't watch the last two days at all.

Followup to the break foul. The above pictures are screenshots of a youtube video from my home personal table. I have a Canon DSLR, with a 10-18mm zoom lens, set at about 13mm, dead center of the table. (it's slightly tilted I have to fix it). The camera is flush to an 8' tall ceiling. The 1 is exactly on the spot, I use a template rack and line it up carefully. The lines I drew on the cloth with a sharpie. They are 100% aligned with the diamonds. I'd put my lines up against any other table in the world for alignment to the diamonds, if you saw how I marked them;) The 1 ball's center looks likes its well to the left of the sharpie line. This is due to the camera. This shows the foul on the break shot can't be contended due to the overhead camera view.

Unrelated to the foul but worth noting, look at all the other diamonds and the shapie lines on the table. The closer you get to center table, the less the error between the lines and the diamonds.

I'd expect the MR camera to be much higher from the table than mine, and have a narrower lens. Still, there will be similar image errors on their cameras.

My only complaint about the stream is that there should be ONE go-to site that provides LIVE, DIRECT links to ALL the streamed matches in progress, along with the times when the next set of matches are scheduled to begin.

Once you figured out that you had to go to Matchroom Pool YouTube to access Table 1, and Matchroom Pool Multi-Sports to access Table 2, the streams themselves were fine, although it might've been nice to have included commentary on Table 2. But that's a minor complaint compared to the often confusing instructions about when and where the streams will be available.
