A friend from work was at a woodworking show on the weekend. While he was there, he picked up a nice piece of bocote.
He said I could have it, if I made him a set of thread protectors out of it for his 2 cues. 2 butts and 4 shafts.
The piece is 1 inch thick by 6 inches wide by about 3 feet long. It looks very nice.
He said he paid $38 for it.
I'm not worried about doing the job, but I was curious as to if some of you think the price he paid was fair.
I know I won't be able to use it for much other than joint protectors, but it is nice to have anyway.
I can't do any inlay work yet, but I do own a mid-size cuesmith.
